Last weekend in October?

Anyone know how busy it generally is the last weekend in October? I was wondering if Halloween had any effect on attendance that weekend? Thanks!

October used to be a wonderful time to visit -- with some of the lightest crowds of the year. About six or seven years ago that changed, and October is very busy, now (for the off-season). Halloween, itself, doesn't tend to have as much impact on WDW as it does on Universal Studios. I wouldn't let it sway me either way.

I would be interested in this answer as well. Here in Wisconsin many of the schools are off the last thur. and fri. of Oct. so our DD would only miss 3 days of school if we went for a week.

We were there 10/22 - 28 last year and the crowds were managable. The factors you need to consider are the Food and Wine Festival at Epcot has taken off in popularity. The Funai Golf Tourney is the 19th - 23rd. Last year there
were "more crowds" due to earlier cancellations that year from the hurricanes.

We are headed down 10/23 - 29 this year and generally speaking expect moderate crowds. BTW the weather is ideal this time of year as well. Ant specific questions please let me know!

Usually the MNSSHP sells out for Oct 31 very early. Other than that, Oct is a great month to visit. The crowds are down. Only drawback is that the parks close early in the evening, often by 7pm.

I went last October, the last weekend of October. Crowds were a little larger than I expected, but not bad. Weather was gorgeous. I am taking my family the last week of October this year, so all the positives definately outweigh the somewhat larger crowds.
