thinking about going to the world in late july
we have always gone in sept in the past
how hot and how crowded are the parks

thanks im advance my dis friends are the best

We went this past july/aug and are planning again for this july til middle of august. In all my disney trips, and i have been there during every month of the year, this was the least crowded time i've ever been there. I admit, i followed tourguide mike's suggestions on days, and we literally walked on everything. we DO get to the parks at opening and take our break mid-day, go back in cool evenings. I can't stress that enough during this time of year. I just couldn't get over how little the crowds were. I think the heat scares everyone away. It was my dad's first trip and the reason he'd never go before was crowds (heat doesn't bother him). He said, is it ALWAYS like this...i expected tons of people. I said, dad, i have NEVER seen it like this in all my trips.
So my advice is, carry ice cold water, get there for park opening, take your mid-day break (swim, nap) and then go back in the evening. It helps to have those cool neck things on too.

we have been un sept and oct only
sept was very hot
oct was cool at nite
but all the rides and stuff were walk on the longest was 10 15 mins
are you saying :yay: it that the crowds are not heavy if you go early in the day:cool1:
i would think wdw would be crowded if most are schools closed

thanks

Yes! We rarely got to a park past 9:00 in the morning. Imagine getting 10 people up and out of a comfy grand villa at OKW and on the bus by 8:30! People would get up in stages, make bacon and eggs, lol. But it all worked out somehow.

If you arrive mid-day to the parks, you will not see the same low crowds. Still, we visited all the parks at all times of day and it was not near the crowds we expected. Not only do you get the cool temps of the morning, but we had the parks to ourselves for a couple hours.

Then going back in the evening was the same thing. Once the sun goes down, it is so much cooler (still humid), some nights we almost needed a light coat. Crowds were thinned out, people were either too tired from the heat of the day or they were eating late dinners, that type of thing.

It's not the dreaded trip i always thought it would be for heat and crowds. I had four trips last year, April...July-aug....Oct...early Dec. and that july-aug was by far the least crowded.

we went this past July for the last week or so and it was wonderful. I mean, yes-it was hot but not unbearable. We just swam a lot and got to the parks early. In the first couple of hours you can get a lot done!! and then we would go back to the room, swim and eat a snack and after a few hours we would maybe go back and maybe not. We sometimes would only go for a couple of hours a day and this was my most relaxing trip ever. We went again the past Jan and it was not nearly as relaxing to me. I can't wait to go back!!
