Last week of April vs. first week of May

I'm a WDW veteran but a newb when it comes to DLP. We are going to Europe this spring with our 2 and 4 yo and are going to do a few days in DLP. I've been reading the boards here, and saw the suggestion to check school schedules for surrounding countries. After some googling, it looks like the first week of May is better than the last week of April. Would the experts here agree? Disagree? Say it doesn't matter much? TIA.

April 25 is holiday in Italy but as it falls on a tuesday is not really likely schools will be closed or people will take kids off school for a holiday all week long. It could be the long weekend 23 to 25 april will be the one chosen from italian people for a trip there.

Monday May 1st is a National Holiday in France and a Bank holiday in the UK, not sure how much this will affect the crowds in DLP.
