First day of a 2 wk trip, we stay at DWL for 5 nights then to BCL for 9. Got in around noon and did the online check in........didn't really see any time savings but I suppose if it was a long line in the other it would have saved time. Room was not ready so we went swiming and called about an hour later and it was ready. Never been to DWL for a stay before.........NICE PLACE. We are in room 4557 (2br) carpet looks new but everything else is about the same as the other places.

Love our APs, the feeling of hey lets just go to the parks for a few hours and not feel like you are using a "day" of a ticket, not sure if that makes sense or not:confused3

Got to MK about 5pm and it seemed pretty busy especially for a Tuesday night, but not overwhelming. We usually go in the offseason and have enjoyed the small crowds. Another bonus of DVC, we don't comando anything...if we see long lines we just walk around and know hey there will be other opportunities. DVC and an AP just really makes our trips very very relaxing.

Someone else mentioned earlier that the literature at the park for times open didn't match, we ran into the same thing. They added a 10pm specrtomagic show and stayed open an extra hour. Which was AWESOME because my daughter was crying when she found out we missed it. I can't blame her as we had been up since 4 am to head to the airport. Turned out awesome because not many people were out and we had front row seats in liberty square (probably best place to watch a parade).

Not the greatest pics but hopefully enough to get people excited about their upcoming trips. I know I love looking at pics:

Thank you so much for starting a trip report! I do love going to Disney will not be there til Halloween this year :( So I do enjoy reading these alot. Get some sleep and we will be waiting for more tomorrowpopcorn::

WLV is my favorite. Hope you enjoy it. We love walking on the nature path to the campgrounds and renting a boat on the lake. I know exactly what you mean about the annual passes. We do the same thing now. I don't mind relaxing by the resort all day and heading into EP for dinner ressies at Le Cellier. I think it makes vacationing at Disney even better than before because we know we'll back to hit it all again within the next 12 months to make the best use of the passes. Have a great trip.

Wife and daugter went to MK to see the Fairies........she was a little excited. I stayed "home" with the boys as they played Star Wars. I just love these 2br and our DVC........who would have thought you can go to Disney and actully relax???? Then we went to the pool and beach area, everyone is sleeping now while I do this and have a blue moon on the deck. I also included a few pics from the deck. DWL is beautiful and very peaceful, decent gym as I just got back to justify my BEER!

Weather was awesome today about 75-80 nice breeze and mostly sunny...beats the weather in WI, even if it is getting warmer up north there eh.

Sorry about the rotation of the pics, I hate it when my wife takes them that way and I'm too lazy to rotate them......I have to get some batteries so I will try to get better pics for Thursday.......enjoy:

:rotfl2: "Peaceful yoga and beer drinking". :rotfl2:

Keep up with the report, It'll be enjoyable.

Those fairies are really small.

Can't again say how much I love the combo of DVC and an AP. Got to MK tonight at 830 caught spectromagic, as the boys slept through it last night and just had to see it tonight.

One thing that amazes me everytime I see it is that philarmagic (or whatever it is called) 3D movie. I love that show and is one of the top attractions at Disney for our family.

An observation I have about DWL......ok the place is awesome but don't see the big advantage of the boat. Yeah it is pretty cool but after all waiting for transportation is waiting for transportation. I love the boardwalk area and being able to walk to 2 parks and attractions on the BW...just about perfect for our family. I'm excited to try BLT and walk to MK with monorail to EPCOT.

Nothing too eventful from last night and they boys enjoying breakfast on the deck. Will try to get better day time pics of the resort and stuff but we keep forgeting the camera and I have not taken the time to figure out how to take great night photos. Also the quality is diminished a little as I'm pulling it off my facebook photo page. Just plan on hanging out today around the resort.

On another note.............So can you make coffee with Red Bull......and if so will it give me the energy of a 6, 3 and 2 year old? Someone needs to invent that...instant billionaires

On point don't be surprised if your 2 year old is scared of "it's a small world"!!!

Your family is ADORABLE and I am really enjoying your pics- even the ones where I have to tilt my head sideways to see!:goodvibes I'm looking forward to buying my first AP in May- can't wait!!

Hey Culli,

See your boys like Eggo's too. Mine are older and it's still one of their favorite breakfasts(though I do buy the wholegrain ones).

My boys weren't big VWL fans, thought the pool was "lame".

We stay at VWL for 3 days first week of June...wow those balconies look small!!! We are view people, the views look great. But I sure hope there is some leg room on that balcony!

They are not as big as our balcony we had at the BWV this January. When we stayed at VWL, we faced the trees too and you could see a bit of the lake.

I hope you don't get the dumpster view!

PS 15 days until VB! :rolleyes1

Keep those pics coming. Have a great time. I'm sure that your children will always treasure these vacations "memories" (that's why we became DVC members). Never been to DWL, would you recommend?

Just up from another nap.....no yoga today but 11am beer on another beautiful day as we hung out at the pool and beach. Took some general pics of the Wilderness. Sorry so many famiy pics but using the trip report to update friends and family too. No parks today just hung out at the resort. They had Wall-e playing on the beach then a neat water light/float show. As you can tell I brought the camera today and got some new batteries.

Thank you everyone for your kind words about the family. I will try to post pics everyday but might be every few days. Not sure what is in store tomorrow probably MK (shock with 3 little ones hey!). One problem........we got a 2br for our trip, I can't see us going back to a 1br even at AKV or BLT. Might have to get some more "onsale" pts and help out others with the economy:laughing:

You can't them in this pic but there are many many birds, reminds me of the island off *****ula state park in door county where we took a kayak out there and the island was gross.....bird poop everywhere. I can't imagine how nasty this one is:

Anyone know what is up on the top floor here:confused3 ? I bet it is cool!!!

n1373816797_30269913_5991298.jpg

This looks cool but really gets annoying as it is the fastest way (at least that I have seen) to get to the boat. When it is going it sprays over the walk way and with a large stroller is a big pain in the (|).

Kids just love the beach!

Yes I would recommend DWL the place is very nice. So far I like all the resorts but because of location I like the BCV and BWV the best. The boat ride is nice but it is no different then waiting for the buses......waiting is waiting. I like the ability to walk to EPCOT and DHS so I'm pumped for our next leg of our trip t BCV.

Yeah the balcony is pretty small but enough for 2 people to sit and relax.

All the kids want to play in the pool and sand again so not sure if we are heading to any parks today.

Hey Culli,

See your boys like Eggo's too. Mine are older and it's still one of their favorite breakfasts(though I do buy the wholegrain ones).

My boys weren't big VWL fans, thought the pool was "lame".

Yup we get the wholewheat or wholegrain too! Actually it is my breakfast of choice and the kids happen to love it too. We put peanut butter and nestle mini choc chips on them. Reese PB cups are my fav and I thought this might be the healthy way to cure my fix:confused3

Wife and youngest went to AK today so I told her to take lots of pics, he wants to see Baloo. The 2 oldest want to go to beach and swim......makes it nice when you don't have the kids screaming to comando the parks!

Great photos & TR :thumbsup2 Thanks so much for taking the time to share with us ! Your little ones are adorable :goodvibes !! our :dance3:three seemed to 'grow up' in the blink of an eye (youngest is already 12 :scared1: ) thank goodness for our dvc because at least they still love vacationing with mom & dad !

Enjoy your trip
~Laura
