Last Trip? It was until we met Food & Wine -- Recap 2/12

Popping in to get caught up after being gone for the holidays (and packing days prior to heading to Tennessee). I have thought about you and your family often the last several weeks. Praying for peace for your family as you are grieving the lose of your mother and for Alisha as she deals with the results of her testing.

On to a much happier note....looks like you and Tim's family continued to have a great time at the Magic Kingdom. His kids are so stinkin' cute! I'm placing bets that you and Mark will be doting grandparents one day.

When you described how she was feeling I figured that it was Fibro. I am glad she finally has an answer, it is tough to diagnosis since so many other diseases have similar symptoms. I have it also and currently don't take meds for it. There are some great vitamin regimes that I have heard great things about, but have never tried. I'm not good at remembering to take stuff.

I love LTT. It's such a great place for lunch. Denny has had that pot roast before and really enjoyed it. It is totally like dinner!

Glad you got just enough break in the rain to head out for a snack. I can't believe how much it rained in September. That is crazy. I do feel sorry for the MNSHHP goers. That can't be a fun party in the rain.

Yay for valet parking to keep you nice and dry! :thumbsup2

Hi Kathy - I'm sorry to hear about Alisha's diagnosis. I hope she has more good days than bad.

Liberty Tree Tavern is a "must do" for lunch on every trip. I tried to pot roast last time we were there and it was delicious. It might be my new favorite entree. And I have to have the Ooey Gooey Toffee Cake. No matter how full we are we have to order it. ;)

I'm sorry about Alisha, but at least now she knows what she's dealing with and it isn't anything life threatening.

Hi Kathy, I fell a little behind again - I have been a bad DIS-er lately - too much going on in real life.

I liked your last update - Christopher seems like he is such a happy little ball of energy. It must have been so much fun spending the day with him and the rest of the family.

I'm sorry to hear about Alisha, but I am glad that it is not life-threatening. I hope that she is able to manage it without too much difficulty. And I hope that you become a grandmother soon!:)

Sorry to hear about Alisha, but at least now she has an answer and can start tackling treatment options. Continued prayers for her.

I was just thinking about you today as I was decorating the house for Christmas and getting my ornaments out. I'd forgotten how cool the Chicago ones are from the ornament exchange- still love them!

Can't wait to hear about the rest of your trip...

Someone was definitely ready to go:

He loves roller coasters.

While they were gone, we took Gabby on the Carrousel.

Look, a smirk!

When the rest came back, the kids wanted to go back on the Carrousel:

Right, Christopher?

:lmao:

Before we could reach our next destination, we found a Princess that we all wanted to see

With almost no line! :woohoo:

Before we could get to our next destination, Tim had to stop for one of these

drooling_homer_bcLbIGCQbPaE-s314x360-240619.gif

See what Christopher taught me.... a thumbs-up! :lmao::lmao:

And Mark finally found his match (even before we went on the ride)

BAD INFLUENCES!!!!!!!!

It was time to split up as Mark and I had an ADR to go to and Tim and family wanted to hit some more rides. We left with the hope we would see each other later that evening.
Thanks agin for sharing your MK day with us. We really had a great time with you and Mark!!!!

So glad Alisha got some answers. Hopefully she can learn the triggers and minimize the pain and fatigue.

 for all of you and :cool1: for future grandbabies!!!!

If you haven't guessed, we are at Liberty Tree Tavern.
We've yet to eat here.

The clam chowder was amazing and I ate every drop.
Time to get real New England chowder in... well... New England! :lmao:

We headed to the exit and we no sooner got to the monorail to get back to the TTC to walk to our car and the skies opened up. Thankfully, we got on the monorail without getting wet, but when we got to the TTC it was a different story. Even the ponchos were useless. We sat near the restrooms waiting for it to ease up and we sat and watched everyone coming in for the MNSSHP. We felt so bad for them as they were just getting drenched. We finally took a run for it to our car (you'll remember we were there very early and had a front row spot). We got back to the BWV and valeted the car so we wouldn't get drenched going from the parking lot to our room.
...and we were stuck.... well... I guess you have to wait to find out where. :lmao:

We had hoped to meet up with Tim and Mel and the family at the BLT for the Hallowishes fireworks, but it didn't look like the rain was going to let up enough to let them go off so we said we would try to hook up with them a couple of days later.
Yea, that was a real bummer.

Catching up. I'm all the way back on page 53! Luvin the pics with Ana and Christopher on Buzz lightyear!

Gabby is to cute in the smiley pictures. She's so funny in most of the pics she looks totally not impressed. The photos on the horses are hilarious it's like ride not moving Gabby not impressed. Ride moving Gabby happy :thumbsup2

So sorry bout all your bad news. Hope things get better soon.

Love the Mine Train photos! And the carousel ones too, absolutely adorable pic of Gabby. And the pics with Tiana and Peter too! I love them all!

Thanks, Wendy. I do too.

Glad Mark had a worthy opponent for his sword fight. :)

He finally met his match.

Lunch looks delicious, glad you both enjoyed it.

We've really come to love it there.

Yikes on the rain!

Definitely in top three of rainiest trips ever.

Yummmm your snacks from the Boardwalk bakery look goooooood!

Mark really loved his a lot.

one of these days i am going to get that beautiful picture of the castle! I adore that angle!!!!

Thanks, Mo; I'm really surprised you didn't.

Ohh the fun you had with Tim's family! I just love all the smiles. then Gabby. :rotfl: It's SO FUNNY!!!!

They are an awesome family (don't tell Tim though).

One of these days we will go to LT. i need to try it once!!! I keep hearing such great things!

It's jumped up to being in our top 10.

Love Mark's monster hat too.. he really needs one. and a real Sword fight! WO HOOOOOO:woohoo: I need to get him with my boys....

Oh my...I can see it now right in the middle of the Target aisle.

Since we missed boo at the zoo i need to get over there for the christmas stuff!!!

I can't even get to the Museum to see the Disney exhibit with Mark's work schedule right now.

Hope you are well! glad you had the kids this weekend!!! even your furry one!

I am doing fine (headaches nonstop, but I think that is the nicotine withdrawal). We had a blast with the kids and we are missing Rolo.

I'm so far behind. I haven't been on the computer since last week. So sorry to hear about your Mom. But, she is resting peacefully now and no longer in pain. And you have all your memories.

Thanks, Chris.

Love all the updates. What a fun day you had at MK. Loved that Princess Tiana. She was gorgeous!

Thanks; we had a really good day. Wasn't she beautiful?

I really can't believe you like Liberty Tree. That is one of my favorites. :rotfl::lmao::rotfl2:

Oh my...the sky must be falling or something.

Sorry about the rain... but I guess it didn't completely ruin things for you since you were on the way back to the resort. At least you could change into some dry clothes unlike the people headed into the park!

Thankfully we weren't just getting to the park. I felt so bad for those people heading in.

I was an update behind again with the holiday, so here are my thoughts on the last two updates:

Tim's kids sure are adorable!! And you got some great pictures on 7DMT! I was so happy to get FP+ on both of my MK days for it for our upcoming trip. :goodvibes

They sure are Steph. Oh I'm glad you got the FP for both days.

Good luck with the characters, you got great pictures with Tiana and Peter Pan! Nice that you didn't have to wait in long lines too.

I was amazed how short the lines were. And Mark and I had never seen either of them.

:rotfl: at the sword fight, it's too cute!

Mark was so happy.

Wow, LTT was empty when you were there! I haven't eaten there since I was a teenager and ADRs did not exist so my family and I just walked in for dinner one day with the characters! Not a fan of clam chowder, but the Pot Roast looks delicious.

I was surprised too (and every room we passed was empty too).

Your picture of the side of the castle is fantastic! Glad you made it on the monorail before the rain started, and at least you had a close spot to run to your car.

Thank you. Yes, we didn't get too wet running to the car.

The cupcakes looks wonderful! :cloud9:

It looked good, but just a tad too sweet for me.

Yay for some Love for Tiana!

We have passed her on previous trips but the line was always so long We hit it just right this trip.

Looks like a fun ride on Pirates!

Ever since we got stuck on it this past May, I'm scared to get on it and fear that I will get stuck again.

And who could ever pass up a Dole Whip? :lmao:

I could (not a fan).

Yummy looking lunch at Liberty Tree and what a bummer about the rain but at least you made it almost to your car before the worst of it.

Lunch was very good and very filling.

What Yummy treats to end the night with. Bummer that the cupcake was too sweet. That is always a let down.

It was the perfect way to end the night.

I'm super far behind - but caught up now! :thumbsup2 What a fun day you had with Tim and the family, very fun.

We really did; they are a special family.

I was so sad to hear about Joe's passing. I'll be praying for them this holiday season.

It just breaks my heart. And for that sweet baby girl to take her first steps after her daddy passed just tore me apart. I am sure the Memorial on Sunday would be lovely.

Prayers and hugs to you as well, Kathy. It's been a rough year for you; I've thought about you often, and send up a prayer that you're doing well.

Thank you so much my friend.

Are you going to be in the Dubuque area this month? If so, perhaps we can meet up!

We have tentative plans. The kids can't come on Christmas Day, so we are hoping to go up there Friday and Saturday. It all depends on Mark's work schedule. I'm afraid they are going to want him the day after Christmas.

Your lunch at Liberty Tree Tavern looks delicious!! I love clam chowder. Sounds like you guys had a wonderful morning. Loved the sword fight! Perfect timing, leaving just as the rain started.

It really was, Darla. Mark was very impressed with his pot roast. We did have a wonderful morning with Tim's crew.

I fell a bit behind, but finally had some time to catch up.

Sarah, falling behind has become the story of my life lately.

I love the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train pictures! And I love that the official picture caught both you and Tim with your cameras out!

At the time, I had totally forgotten the ride took a picture and I had no idea "where" it took it even if I had remembered.

I love all the pictures with Tiana and Peter Pan! Both are characters we missed on our last trip ...

I was happy to catch them for the first time ever.

Mark and Christopher having a sword fight ... boys. Looks like they were having a lot of fun.

Mark has had sword fights with girls, grandparents, his 27 year old son and now Christopher. He tells me I'm a party-pooper because I won't have one with him.

I've never been to Liberty Tree Tavern (I've never been to most Disney restaurants ...), but it looks really nice! I'm glad you guys enjoyed!

It's very early American in theme and we really enjoy the food.

Sounds like you had a nice time at MK ... and at least you got out before the rain!

Thankfully we were safe from the monsoon...our timing was great.

All caught up now (I'm sure I'll fall behind soon enough, though). I hope you had a nice Thanksgiving week!

We did, thank you.

I've never eaten there, but I still guessed right that it was Liberty Tree. So well done with the picture clues Kathy! :thumbsup2

Thanks, Rob. You should give it a try. Brenda highly recommended it to us.

Oooh that burger looks good.

Nice and juicy...it was very good.

Ohhhhhh Yeahhhhhhh, the rain. This one I remember vividly as this was my MNSSHP night. That was the hardest and longest rain of the trip. :( In fact I believe they issued a flood warning. Not good. :sad2:

It was one of the worse experiences on that day that we'd ever experienced.

you lunch looks very tasty (especially the pot roast) - glad you enjoyed it and a favorite did not disappoint :thumbsup2

It was as good as last time.

Oh no! That's too bad about the rain but at least (well, at least for you and Mark) you were leaving the park and not heading towards it. Sorry to hear about it impacting Hallowishes though.

I felt bad...some of their costumes were so elaborate.

The topper on the cupcake you got is super cute :goodvibes

Yes it was; next time I think I'll stick with a brownie or something though.

Liberty Tree Tavern is one of those reservations I've always wanted (and had twice!) but we've never been able to accommodate with our schedule. The Ooey Gooey Toffee Cake just looks like the best thing ever.

I was really surprised Mark didn't get the dessert, but he was really full (we'd had that big breakfast at CP earlier too). I hope you get there one of your next trips.

Ugh, the rain. Something we've managed to avoid pretty well in past trips, but there's so much space between everything that it's unavoidable if you're caught out in it...

We had a real good record going for awhile where we had maybe 15 or 20 minutes rain on one or two days out of seven. But my trip a year ago June, this past May and our last two August/ September trips sure made up for it. :(

Hope you had a great Thanksgiving! We actually had some decent weather over the weekend! :thumbsup2

We did have a nice holiday with all the kids, Mark's family and my brother. We had a nice weekend too. Alisha and I were shopping on Saturday in just a sweatshirt.

I'm so sorry to hear about your mom. I hope that you were able to semi-enjoy Thanksgiving with some family time. :grouphug:

Thank you very much. I appreciate it. We did have a lot of family time with the kids, and we spent Thanksgiving Day for a couple of hours with Mark's dad...the last parent we have left.

Great pics on the Mine Train! I'm still so mad we missed the PP on that ride by days. Next year.

I really like how those pictures turn out, Clare.

I love that Gabby is so serious. It won't last. Maura used to be like that. Now she's a clown.

Oh I have a feeling that Tim and Mel are going to have their hands full with Gabby as she gets a little older.

Liberty Tree Tavern looks good! I could go for some clam chowder.

LOVE Clam Chowder. I think I'll have it for lunch on Friday.

Sorry you had to make a run for your car. Glad you were close, at least!

Yes, us too. And about five minutes after we got in the car, the skies opened again.

Those deserts look yummy, and even though your cupcake was too sweet, it was so cute!

It was very cute (and probably why I picked it).

I hope you had a nice Thanksgiving.

We did; I hope you did too.

Kathy, I am with you on the LTT; it along with CP for breakfast are always on my to do list of ADR's at the MK. I've never had a burger at LTT, but I have had the pot roast and I agree with Mark, it is excellent. But not having room for dessert, how can you do that?:confused3:confused3 Perhaps one of the best desserts in all of WDW is found there with the Ooey Gooey Toffee Cake. :goodvibes;)

Sorry Bob...someone yours didn't quote in order. We really have grown to love LTT. Mark promises to make up for the Ooey cake if we go back there in October.

Sorry to hear that the rain put a damper on things. Here's to a lot of pixie dust for your next visit with nothing but comfortable temperatures and sunny skies your whole visit. :goodvibes :beach:

From your mouth to God's ears.

Also love your pics of the Boardwalk Bakery. There is no way a visit to Disney is complete without stopping by the bakery and indulging in a snack from there. Your cupcake looked awesome by the way, and for me there is no such thing as something being too sweet. Loved the look of that thing with the Oreo Cookie on it.

The Oreo was good. ;)

I can't wait to hear all about your new tour. I have never done a tour in Disney myself but think that may change when we go back in June. I think we are going to do the Keys to the Kingdom tour.

You will LOVE the Keys to the Kingdom tour. We really, really enjoyed it.

Lunch looks goo-ood! I've heard such great things about Liberty Tree Tavern but I always think Columbia Harbor House is LTT when I'm in MK, so I've eaten at CHH like 8 times trying to find LTT.

LTT is next to the Liberty Bell; CHH is closer to Haunted Mansion.

Sorry your evening plans got rained out, Florida weather is very unpredictable. But it looks like you had some yummy desserts and a good nights rest! Sometimes that's what us need, especially in WDW!! :goodvibes:

And I can't wait to experience that unpredictable weather when we move there. Yes, a nap was probably the best for us with a couple of early mornings and another one coming up.

LTT is on my list of still to try. That burger looks delicious but the pot roast for me is a no go. :sad2:

Pat, one of the best burgers I've had at Disney. Is it the vegetables in the Pot Roast you can't have?

I would have to fit the Ooey Gooey Toffee Cake in somehow. :rolleyes1

I should have told Mark to get one to go since I knew we were going back to the resort.

Ah the rain that just pours. At least you were going out and almost made it. I guess in the end it is a good thing you didn't have tickets for the Halloween party.

Yes, it really is good we didn't have party tickets after all.

Trying to stay caught up here. ;)
Loved your little day with Tim and family. Looks like you had a great time! Tiana's dress is so pretty.

Thanks, Linda. We had so much fun with them. Tiana and her dress were gorgeous.

I do love a good Dole Whip float! I know you didn't care for them, but I found them very refreshing (of course, I'm thinking the LaFou's Brew beats the Dole Whip these days for me).

Just not a fan of those Dole Whips. I didn't like the LaFou either. But glad you enjoy them.

You got really lucky with your FP+ for the Mine Train! :thumbsup2

Yes, I know. Thankfully. :)

Fun for Mark to get to play swords. You would have had to play otherwise! :rotfl:

And then he would have told me I was a poop because I never do.

Bummer for those folks that were headed to the party on a rain-soaked evening.

Yes, it was really a crying shame.

We have only done LTT once-for dinner back when there were still characters. We did it on a MNSSHP day. The characters were all decked out in their finest Halloween costumes. It was a fun meal.

I would have gone just for the Halloween costumes. :)

I will be headed to the Kris KringleMarket next week on Wednesday. Maybe you could pop over for an early lunch.

Let me check the schedule. But I think that is the day of our annual lunch that my boss treats me and my two best friends at the office to.

Kathy, I am so sorry to hear about Alisha, but yet at the same time very glad to hear that her diagnosis is not life
threatening. With her being so young hopefully the medical field will make great strides in treating and even finding a cure for Fibromyalgia.

Thanks, Bob. I sure hope they do. I've seen her silently suffer as she doesn't want to ruin others plans.

As for their wanting to "work" on giving you and Mark a grandbaby, I wouldn't exactly call it work, LOL... :lmao: Seriously, my thoughts and prayers are with Alisha and I hope to hear about you and Mark being a grandma and grandpa. You both will make wonderful grandparents. :goodvibes

I guess it's not really work. But she really wants to have one next year. Awwww....thanks.

I'll say it here too:
I am so sorry to hear the news on Alisha. Glad they know what it is and hopefully will come up with something soon to help with it.

Thanks; I hope so too.

BUT GRANDBABIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :yay:

I am so ready for a grandbaby.

I will finish responses tomorrow. I'm really tired (rough first week back at work with everything to get caught up on).

Thank you for sharing the update on Alisha. I am sure just knowing something makes things a little better and definitely glad to hear that it isn't life threatening.

She's happy it's not "serious", but frustrated that she will have to deal with it the rest of her life.

Hope things work out with the grandbaby and the way you describe her I am sure she will do all she can from her end to make things work out!

I am so excited at this prospect. :)

LTT looks so good! We have never eaten there and I know Brenda loves the place too and their pot roast. One of these days we will get there. Love the desserts at the BW Bakery!! I have told myself after this trip no sweets or carbs for a entire month to make up for all the wrong we are fixing to do :lmao:

It was really good, Lori. I hope you are having a marvelous time. I loved the picture of A from swimming for the first time.

It's good to finally get an official diagnosis and I hope everything works out.

We really like LTT. Funny thing is that the cheeburger there is only a couple dollars more than the counter service ones and you can relax in air conditioning enjoying it. I tend to make a gluton of myself at the dinners there!

We've never done dinner (I'm not a huge "thanksgiving meal" person). Yes, the burgers are rather reasonably priced.

Love your mine train photos!

Thank you.

I'm glad to hear Alisha at least has an answer to what's wrong (and that it's not life-threatening), but sorry to hear that it's something with no cure. I hope she and her doctors can find a way to manage her pain and still live her normal life.

Thank you, Sarah. If anyone can do it, it is my daughter-in-law.

Nice Mine Train photos! It looks like a worthy addition to the Magic Kingdom.

I think it suits the place quite well.

Because it's heaven in a cup!:thumbsup2

; I don't care for it.

Love it! I'm sure Christopher was one of his favorite duelists.

I believe you are correct on that.

Mmm....good stuff.

We really like it there.

Once again, I'm so sorry to hear of the news about your mom. I hope your family has nothing but good memories and is drawing close around you. And I'm glad Alisha now has a name for her pain. Not that it makes things easier, but now she can finally form a game plan. That's a good thing.

Thanks, Mark; I appreciate it. Mom will be missed, but I am glad she is no longer suffering. Alisha will be fine...she is a tough cookie and will work closely with her doctors to find the best action to help.

So many good updates I have missed!!! Love the photo of the Dwarf cabin that you took. I could totally live there. pixiedust: Although, we did our best to hit the New Fantasyland highlights when we were there last year, there is so much we still have not experienced. One of these days! :thumbsup2

I could live there too, Connie.

It looks like you all had so much fun with Tim and family! What cute kiddos! :goodvibes

We really had a lot of fun with them and I hope our paths might cross again (I may still get my hubby to take me to New York so we can meet up with the clan).

I am so sorry Alisha has Fibromyalgia. I do not have it, but I have many friends who do...not fun stuff at all. I hope she and her doctor are able to work out a plan of action that will bring her some relief...AND make it safe for her to give you guys some grandbabies! You two are going to be the BEST grandparents ever!!!! I cannot wait two or three years down the road to read about you taking your grandbabies to Disney for the first time!!! :dance3:

As much as I didn't want it to be anything serious, I also didn't want it to be this as I know how much pain she can be in at times. She's already looking into her diet. She's told the doctors no drugs for now. You are very sweet. My DIL told me that the child(ren) will have to be 3 or 4 before they can go. I'm working on that part of it.

So sorry to hear this news. I am glad it isn't life threatening, but still a life long issue. I am no doctor but I would ask if maybe a nutritionist could help with a diet that may alleviate pain. Hopefully she has a good outlook as a positive attitude can help a lot with these things.

Thanks; and she was thinking like you and already looking into diet, etc. She read one thing that said fish was good for her. She hates fish, but she will suck it up if she has too.

Another great update! I cannot wait to ride the mine train. Hoping to get a FP+ for when I go in Feb.

I hope you get a FP!

Looks like Mark has met his match with Christopher in the sword fight! Who won?

I think Christopher did (just because he's cuter!).

Your chowder looks so good! I am always leery when ordering Clam Chowder outside of New England. Just call me a chowder snob!

I can understand that. It was very good, but we have one at a fish house here that is THE best I have ever had.

Sorry you didn't get to see Hallowishes. Always stinks when the rain puts a kink in the plans!

We would have liked to go to the top of the BLT to see them with Tim and Mel, but just another reason to go back some time.

Glad to finally be caught up again. I have been MIA once more. We lost my little puppy (9 years old so he wasn't exactly a puppy), early yesterday morning so it has been a very rough 24 hours. Always so hard to lose a pet.

I am so sorry to hear about your puppy. No matter their age, they are always our puppy. Sending you a big

Kathy, I was so far behind on your TR, it's almost sad, LOL!

No worries; I was too until last night.

I am so glad you enjoyed the first part of your stay at AKL. So far it seems like you enjoyed the Boardwalk, too! I cannot wait to stay there someday to experience being able to walk to Epcot during F&W. Nice!

Both resorts are definitely in our top three now.

I am so envious of your food pics.. Looks so yummy right now! We too enjoy Earl of Sandwich and CP for breakfast. We have never done Liberty Tree Tavern, but I have been seeing some lunch posts and it really looks delicious!

CP is a must do for us every trip. I hpe you try LTT sometime...it's really good.

I'm so sorry to hear about Alicia, but so glad to hear it isnt' anything life threatening. I hope she is able to find a way to get some relief.

Thanks, Clare.

And Grandbabies?!?!?!?!?!?!?! You and Mark will be wonderful grandparents!:yay:

Awww...thanks.

Popping in to get caught up after being gone for the holidays (and packing days prior to heading to Tennessee). I have thought about you and your family often the last several weeks. Praying for peace for your family as you are grieving the lose of your mother and for Alisha as she deals with the results of her testing.

Thank you, Lisa. I hope you had a great time in TN. We had a nice holiday and the kids were great to have around.

On to a much happier note....looks like you and Tim's family continued to have a great time at the Magic Kingdom. His kids are so stinkin' cute! I'm placing bets that you and Mark will be doting grandparents one day.

We really did; they were so much fun and they are adorable. I've already forewarned my husband I've started a hidden fund to spoil my grandbabies.

I will pray for Alisha.

Thank you.

And  :cool1:  for impending grandkids! Woo hoo!

I would love for them to have one next year and NOT wait until we move in 2016 (although this might delay our moving just a tad).

Please send me a PM if you don't mind about what you do for yours. And I'm sorry that you are suffering with this too.

I love LTT. It's such a great place for lunch. Denny has had that pot roast before and really enjoyed it. It is totally like dinner!

I agree, MEK. Dinner for lunch...can't beat it.

Glad you got just enough break in the rain to head out for a snack. I can't believe how much it rained in September. That is crazy. I do feel sorry for the MNSHHP goers. That can't be a fun party in the rain.

It was unreal the amount of rain we had this trip.

Yay for valet parking to keep you nice and dry! :thumbsup2

Yes; I don't normally like to pay for it, but it was worth it this time.

Hi Kathy - I'm sorry to hear about Alisha's diagnosis. I hope she has more good days than bad.

Thank you, Sue.

Liberty Tree Tavern is a "must do" for lunch on every trip. I tried to pot roast last time we were there and it was delicious. It might be my new favorite entree. And I have to have the Ooey Gooey Toffee Cake. No matter how full we are we have to order it. ;)

I'm glad you enjoyed the pot roast. Mark couldn't stop raving about it.

I'm sorry about Alisha, but at least now she knows what she's dealing with and it isn't anything life threatening.

Thanks, Andy.

Hi Kathy, I fell a little behind again - I have been a bad DIS-er lately - too much going on in real life.

No worries at all...I totally understand.

I liked your last update - Christopher seems like he is such a happy little ball of energy. It must have been so much fun spending the day with him and the rest of the family.

That is a very good way to describe Christopher! We really did enjoy it. I'm used to my girls trips, so it was nice to have a boy in the mix.

I'm sorry to hear about Alisha, but I am glad that it is not life-threatening. I hope that she is able to manage it without too much difficulty. And I hope that you become a grandmother soon!:)

Thank you very much.

Sorry to hear about Alisha, but at least now she has an answer and can start tackling treatment options. Continued prayers for her.

Thank you. She will figure it out...I have utmost faith in her.

I was just thinking about you today as I was decorating the house for Christmas and getting my ornaments out. I'd forgotten how cool the Chicago ones are from the ornament exchange- still love them!

I loe those exchanges and those ornaments. I can't wait to see what I get this year.

Can't wait to hear about the rest of your trip...

I hope to get an update done today (if my bosses would leave me be for a bit.

He loves roller coasters.

He sure does! He was so excited.

Look, a smirk!

It's closer to a smile than normal.

:lmao:

Why you laughing at me and my buddy?

With almost no line! :woohoo:

I just don't see what you people see in them. Give me a Mickey bar any day.

See what Christopher taught me.... a thumbs-up! :lmao::lmao:

He's a smart boy!

BAD INFLUENCES!!!!!!!!

I say nay nay at being bad influences. We were just teaching him the skills to defend his home should pirates attack :lmao::lmao:

Thanks agin for sharing your MK day with us. We really had a great time with you and Mark!!!!

Thank you for sharing yours with ours. We loved being with you guys.

So glad Alisha got some answers. Hopefully she can learn the triggers and minimize the pain and fatigue.

I hope so too Pat. She's already working on her diet (she also needs to rid herself of some of the stress which is NOT helping).

 for all of you and :cool1: for future grandbabies!!!!

Yay...can't wait.

We've yet to eat here.

What are you waiting for?

Time to get real New England chowder in... well... New England! :lmao:

Maybe 2016 will finally be my year to get to New York and swing to see you guys and get that Clam Chowder.

...and we were stuck.... well... I guess you have to wait to find out where. :lmao:

yes, I'll be patiently waiting. :rolleyes1

Yea, that was a real bummer.

Always next time.

Yep...you described that scenario perfectly.

So sorry bout all your bad news. Hope things get better soon.

Thank you, Emma, I appreciate that.

Hurray for grand babies! You and Mark will be the best grandparents!

Thanks, Laura. You are very sweet.

First, I want to thank each and every one of you again for your support for both my family and I on the passing of my mom. I appreciate the flowers, gift cards, emails, FB messages, etc., that I have gotten checking on us. And thank you all for your continued support of Alisha.

I am going to try to get an update done later this afternoon when the big boss leaves or tomorrow for sure.

In the meantime, a couple of photos from the last two weekends (and it does have a Disney theme in one photo).

We had two weddings the night my mom passed, but only made one of them. Here are a few pictures from there:

And then we had all the kids the day after Thanksgiving. And since Mark and Alisha won't be with us on Christmas Day (we will probably go to Dubuque the day after Christmas if Mark doesn't have to work) and Andy and Des leave the day after Christmas for Disney, I wanted a picture with all of my kids in front of my Disney tree:

These four kids are my life...and I love each of them to the moon and back.

I'll get to that update as soon as I can.
