I couldn't believe it when I read that you were planning on visiting on Saturday. It is a little bit better in the Melbourne store now that we're over the 2 year mark. But it is still bedlam...not quite a free for all these days...but it is incredibly busy.
We normally go to Costco on a Monday morning. Much better and they normally re-stock the shop with fresh stuff.
What did you think of the products?
You have to be kidding??? It's still going to bad in two years from now

I didn't want to...I really didn't...but my mum convinced me. And given day one was managed well I figured it wouldn't be any worse?? right??

So wrong...
I wanted to have a look at some point so given I leave the house about 7am and don't get back home until about 7:30pm that leaves limited options during the week....

So yes along I went...
We visited the Melbourne one the easter before last when we were down for a sticky beak. It was during a weekday morning I guess? The whole area was fairly quiet....except for the ice rink (soooooo jealous of you having a hockey rink

) so I knew the kind of stuff...
I think it's a great store. I think the product range is good and there are some really good bargains. Not everything is...some things are a great price...others just good...but you certainly are saving money.
I'm really tempted by the Swarovski Watches.....but I'd think they're still cheaper in the US. It's just I haven't really noticed the range of watches before.
We got some Joseph Joseph chopping boards so I'm hoping they get the bowl set in at some point

Also got some new induction capable pots and pans for if we ever replace our 30yo stove

Yep....the money goes to holidays...not on a new kitchen

ETA - Do you know if their prices on electrical are great or just good. Just looking at TVs (yet another thing we are living in the dark ages with...wide screen?? what's that?? Oh right...the stuff that makes people look tall...or cut off. It's a real bugger with some subtitles

)
Anyway...they seem good. But just didn't know if you knew if they're fair? With the dollar so high I just don't know if I should do more price hunting?
[If you aren't know no worries...I'm more curious about your 'experience' rather than specific prices.]
What I really liked is that they do stock Aussie and NZ made food stuffs....in some ranges I reckon more than some supermarkets. And the savings on real juice

I got cloudy apple juice and the really nice 'pressed' apple clear juice at so much cheaper.
Trust me...I'd much rather be there on a weekday morning...but...just not possible
Oh....and I got me mega bag of Crasins
