I think if you want to go with purple the black is a better match/contrast

I like the black on black...with or without the sweater...but go in what you feel most comfortable in.

Thanks! I have no problem with black on black, but I'd feel really self-conscious at the interview. I think I'll be okay with the purple dress... I hope.

No, those are both pairs of tights I just got today :lmao: They were on sale for $2.50 a pair, which is about 75% off. I think I'm going to do the purple dress and the black tights. Now the problem is which shoes :lmao:

Good price! Lets see the shoes on.

The purple is very flatering on you. It is a color that fits you very well. It is spring time.

Oh lord... I am not putting those outfits back on :lmao:

Shoes. Ignore the brown, though, since I'll be wearing black tights.

I think purple will be ok because it isn't a typical 'casual' colour? If that makes sense.
It's often used as a colour for bridesmaids. So I wouldn't worry about that...

As for shoes. Maybe the ones on the left?

Thanks :) I really like purple :lmao: I just hope it's not too casual :headache:

Your not over done and not to casual. Are you really tall? If so you might go with a pair of the flats. I saw a lady interviewing who was wearing something so short and to me that was not appropriate. If you just be yourself and let your personality come out they will focus on you and not anything else. When I interveiwed people I concentrated on their answers and if they were dressed decent that was all that mattered to me.

I was thinking the flats.

Think of it this way your selling yourself not what your wearing. Walk in being confident.

True... And the dress is nice, for a sweater dress. Honestly, if I ever get married, I'd like purple to be one of my colors :lmao:

I like those shoes... They're usually pretty comfy.

I'm about 5'9", so with heels, I'm around 6'. My mom's the one that "screens" interviewees at her store, and she usually comments on the application if they're dressed decently or not. I've just never understood how people can go to a job interview in jeans and a t-shirt

Which ones? The mary jane ones or the other ones?

I know, I'm just nervous. I've never done this kind of work before, so I'm worried I won't get it. I hope I will, but still nervous.

I agree with usnuz. It's not overdone but you've clearly put in effort.
Just be yourself. Whatever you were wearing the day you walked in obviously didn't scare them off. And this time you've put in thought and chosen something.

If you feel comfortable in it then that will help you be yourself.

Well, the day I applied, I had on slacks and a button-down (both of them were a little too small, though I don't think anyone noticed). I do love that dress, though :lovestruc

I am partial with mary janes ( you should see my shoes)

You will be fine. Walk in like you were made for the job. We all get nervous for this stuff, but they dont need to know that. :thumbsup2

Good. Comfy is a bonus :rotfl2: I think they're nice as they're flat...but the side detail is cute.

Wow! You are tall. Well...you're the same height as me ;)
And I have short friends mostly so I am considered tall :rotfl2:
If we're chatting and get on an escalator I go a step down

Of course the lady I interviewed with was taller than me so I wished I'd worn my boots with heels :rolleyes1
But it didn't matter.

purple rocks its my favorite color
HAHA!!! I have a friend who is ADDICTED to Purple. She even had purple contacts for a while. Sadly as her prescription changed and got stronger she couldn't get them in purple anymore. But I swear...she's so addicted to Purple it isn't funny. And she's a corporate lawyer so it is ok for corporate wear

I like the purple and black tights combo as well. :thumbsup2

Which of the shoes do you like? With your height, it doesn't matter if you go in flats or heels...pick the ones that you are most comfortable in.

You'll do great!

Yeah, I like mary janes as well :) I have a pair of purple mary jane slipper socks, which I love. I got them at Old Navy last winter.

You will be fine. Walk in like you were made for the job. We all get nervous for this stuff, but they dont need to know that. :thumbsup2

I'm going to try :lmao: I know I have enough guest service training, so it's just a matter of learning how to sell wedding dresses (if that's even the position I'm interviewing for).

I got those at Payless :lmao: The only problem is that sometimes the mary jane strap rubs on my foot and gives me a blister. It shouldn't happen with tights, though.

Yeah, height runs in my family. My siblings are both fairly tall, my parents are both very tall, and my uncle is about 6'3", I think. I don't know any other heights :lmao:

I'm still so glad that you got the job :yay: Maybe the luck will spread and I'll get the job tomorrow :teeth:

SHEEZZ... maybe I should dye my wedding dress and redo pics:rolleyes1
