Congratulations! When do you start?
Start Monday 8:30am :scared1:

I will wear a knitted t-shirt underneath a suit to work. Friends of mine like wearing t-shirts underneath their suits....but then again, they are Marcs t-shirts :rotfl:.

It just depends on the type of business it is as to how they do things.
If you're wearing a jacket it doesn't matter much what you wear underneath.
I'm the more 'creative' business world it's actually less likely to be a jacket so the shirt is more important.
So I'm sure it's fine! :thumbsup2

Good work Dana! Sounds like they might be interviewing you for sales. What were the other employees wearing when you were there?

It looked like business casual, but I only saw two employees (I was in the front of the store). I also still want to make a good impression, you know?

Pics will be up in a minute :yay:

Yeah, I agree. You'll want to dress serious to show you are serious about the job but not so much that you're way above the existing dress code of the workplace.

Agreed. Especially since this is a group interview and I don't know if everyone else in the interview will be dressed conservatively or not. When I went to interview for CNA, some of the other people who interviewed were dressed in jeans and t-shirts.

The two pairs on the right are heels, the two pairs on the left are flats. If I wear the grey pants, I need to wear heels, since they're a bit long for me.

Dana - I prefer the grey pants. But do you have a skirt you could wear?

I'm not sure about the t-shirt. Do you have a scarf that you can dress it up with?

And I can't remember it exactly....but can you post that picture of you in the dress you went out in the other night? Is it possible to wear the dress with one of the jackets?

I don't like scarves :lmao: The only scarf I have is my Hufflepuff one for the winter :)

I'd prefer not to wear a skirt, since I'd be showing my leg tattoo and I don't know if that would have an effect on their decision or not. I'm thinking about just wearing a sweater or something. I really don't know what else to wear :guilty:

The purple dress? I don't think that's appropriate to wear to an interview, as it's definitely not a career type dress. I have a couple of black dresses, maybe I could just wear one of those :headache: I told my mom that I didn't think the t-shirt would be appropriate, and she said to just get it so we didn't have to go to another store. Every button-down I tried on didn't quite fit, and they didn't have any business appropriate pull-over shirts.

I agree I think a dress, or a skirt would be better. Unless she could find a dress shirt.

Do you have leotards in a darker color to cover your legs? I do that when I just dont want people to notice the shape of my legs.

I have opaque and patterned black tights, but I don't know if that would be appropriate :headache: The only dresses I have that I wear them with are black or not interview appropriate, and the only skirts I have, I'll have the same problem as I'm having with the pants (finding a top).

If you do want to use the t-shirt, put up with a scarf for the interview. If your mum has one, then borrow one and tie it up nicely. IMHO, The casual swing or the french twist would work with the V neck...

Can you try and dresses and post?

And yes....black stockings always work well...the 50 denier ones or heavier that hides everything, if you're worried about the tats.

What kind of black dresses are they?

She doesn't have any scarves either. At least, not that aren't winter scarves.

I'll see if I can do the dresses.
