We survived the parade and were in fact quite a hit! Finally after packing up getting all unloaded, changed, lunch and a couple margaritas later, I fell pretty good! Either that or ready to pass out!

I've been searching the internet, hoping that some spectator uploaded video of us. It was CRAZY! People were totally dancing in the streets one guy followed us almost throughout the parade route, people were screaming, and once we'd stop they would yell, "play some more!" I had to wait for the performers to change their music to the next song, and I didn't want to tire out people's chops, but we had an audience. I didn't want to go too long without starting another tune. It was just crazy, but a whole lot of fun for people to like us that much!

With an International firm which actually started in Oz. [Lets just say most International Firms don't start here ] Even has a London office

Yes I'm getting way ahead of myself but it's been so long I'm excited.
Would be a contract job, but a job is a job is a job and it's a foot in the door. They are just doing things this way so they can trial people more easily.

That's the standard way of hiring people in the corporate world in Australia these days. It makes it easy to let them go, without having the overhead of payout money, if it doesn't work out.

It's that and a job by job case. They need someone extra working on this...it will last this long...once that's complete if you don't need anyone extra on a job then it's easy to just end the contract.
The last one I did a contract with, even after a cull, has a few too many permanents on board but as they've already invested in their training they don't want to let them go.
