Yearrh....but that would be because US legislation only allows (legal) drinking at 21.

Well now, kinda. Alcohol laws are by state. But the federal government can make laws to encourage states to do certain things. Raising the drinking age to 21 was one of those things.

Meh. A friend of mine took a look at my resume and spruced it up for me, so I just need to print them out for the job fair I'm going to tomorrow. I'm also working on a couple of paper applications that I have to drop off tomorrow (Torrid and Bath and Body Works).

Legal drinking age here is 18.
Legal driving age is also 18. I believe you can get your learner's permit at 16 these days; but when I first learnt to drive, you couldn't even apply for L plates till you were at least 17.

Driving is also by state, and very complicate compared to when I was 15 and could get a learners permit and at 16 drive. Not it's much more graduated but like I said depends on the state.


Of course lately places are at least thinking of allowing soldiers to start drinking(I mean be allowed to drink) at 18. But that is just a military thing.
