Sorry you've been having work place relations issues...that's never good.
But it's good you've worked it out :thumbsup2

I'm LASTing on and off tonight.
Depends if my left eye starts throbbing again:headache:

What's up with your left eye?

Grumpy was just doing funny turf wars; and cutting me out of the information loop....and forgot who the real Princess was in the Salt Mines. I asked Dopey about it and he said that Grumpy was a genuinely good guy; and one of my other work colleagues confirmed he was. So I gave him the benefit of the doubt, told him that he couldn't ignorami me and (after the apology) that was that. He's been really great since.

I'm not sure how much Lasting I'm doing tonight. I thought I'd catch up on a book I'm trying to read.

There is seriously a petrol pump called Grumpy's?

My Grumpy colleague and I have worked it out. I called 'daggers at 3' and we decided to bury the hatchet. Grumpy had been under the pump and he apologised. We're working pretty well together now. All calm on the western front.

Yep its in vegas. What are you reading?

I am glad you worked it out.

Yep its in vegas. What are you reading?

I borrowed a couple of photography books from the library and given the verboten nature of photobabble, I'll just stop right here.

But I have this thing about going to the library......

Whenever I go, I make it a point to randomly pull a couple of books home with me. Sometimes I even pick with my eyes closed; but mostly, I pick just because they are placed in the "display" shelves and I usually have 2 or 3 favourite locations to pull the books off from. That way, I get to experience books that I would never dream of picking up.

This time, I've come home with:
1. In The Absence of God - Sam Keen. I've been trying to read this and got to about page 100. I think it's pretty pompous and pretentious, which is a shame. I had such high hopes for it. So, I'm going to stop reading this.

2. The Girl form the Coast - Pramoedya Ananta Toer. I haven't started this yet, but it looks like a Novel. So I"m going to crack this open tonight and see how it goes.

What are you reading?

I have a kindle and I forgot the name.I hear the nook and the e readers you can get library books on it. I like my kindle. If I go somewhere where there is free wifi I can connect to the dis:thumbsup2

I spend all day looking at a computer screen that when I am reading, I prefer the old fashioned paper thing. DH has a kindle and he loves it.

At least with the kindle I dont drag books around. The last few cruises I dont take books because to much space taken up. But now I dont have to worry. I like getting free books. I need to plug it in.

Oooh...I forgot to mention that I saw the previews for Cars 2 today. It looked interesting.

BTW Usnuz - When exactly is your cruise? We've been so focussed on Vegas that I've forgotten .... pity this isn't the Old Fogies thread!

It is in oct. i saw you respond to the thing I put up on there. I had to laugh I was watching murder she wrote and someone made a comment about old fogies and jessica said if your 30 or older. I was :rotfl2:

Has cars 2 come out? I want to see it. Sounds dumb since I dont have any small kids. Maybe I should borrow one to go see it.:lmao:

Well...I'm going to leave you to be last. I'm going to try and get a crack on this book.

Have a good couple of days. Might catch you Thursday my time, Wednesday yours.

What's up with your left eye?

I suffer from Migraines and they usually centre around my left eye.
Some can be put down to eye strain. Some to sinus issues. But tension and stress headaches generally...and at worst migraines...often kick in around the left eye.

Obviously I've been rather stressed lately and this is the effect. :headache:
I take Nurofen Plus most of the time. Panadeine Forte when I need to. But I have to watch doing this during the day as codeine can send me a bit dopey....(no cracks about that....:snooty: )

Anyway...I'm drugged up now... :upsidedow

Hope you're enjoying your books. I don't read as much as I used to but I have to say when I do I prefer an actual book. I have an iPad, but although I use it when I'm out and about or in bed to connect to the net I don't use it as a book.
I also spend all day in front of a computer....hence eye strain...so if I'm reading I prefer paper. :flower3:

Time to be Last not looking at a computer screen for a while...

Thought you'd gone to bed....which is where I'm heading shortly. For now, I'm LAST!

Am in bed...just waiting for my hair to dry a bit more.
Plus I'm awaiting an email about tomorrow.

You know the ANZACs don't seem to be interested in my TR....
I won't do anymore unless I get some interest

Should I even ask?

You are getting an increase in the View count....they may not be posting comments; but quite a few someones are reading.

That's why I don't post TRs on the ANZAC section. Half the fun of writing TRs is the comments and *some* heckling from the side. The Anzacs don't do that. They just read and move on.

I'm reading....and don't you dare stop midstream. I'm sure you'll find that when Shushh moseys along, she'll be reading it too.
