No I bought I the T2i. The Item is the 55-250 lens, it came with a camera bag and a cannon eos rebel

You did VERY well!

If you got the Canon Rebel thrown in, this was the original dSLR camera that Canon created that they original sold sub-$1000 and kick started the dSLR trend. Until then, every dSLR camera was waaaay more than that.

It is old; but it doesn't hurt to have an extra camera body in the bag.

I just went to check this week's photo comp. Looks like my entry won't make it to final votes this time round. It was looking close for a time but another entry just pipped me out of the preliminary second place by one vote.

Maybe you can tell me Its hard to read it. It says cannon eos and below it, it has red lettering and I cant make it out. I have typed in everything. x. s, xs. xti and cant figure it out. Its a silver body.

Google Canon EOS rebel and see if there is a picture or an on line manual. If not, try dpreview and see if they have an old review of the rebel...
Let me know if you have success, if not I might try a bit later for you.
