Skiingfast - I think I've asked this on another thread (like my DL TR) but didn't get an answer.

If I am thinking of going on a skiing holiday in the US, where would you recommend? If I recall correctly, you nixed Whistler. You said "here" but never qualified where "here" was....

As for skiing I'm going to Vail/Beaver Creek/Breckenridge/Keystone etc in December. Looks good.

I adore Big White and for a nice side trip Sun Peaks.

Banff, Lake Louise and Sunshine were nice too

Don't know about South Africa. I keep asking DH if he wants to go back....he keeps choosing other locations instead.

I'd love to do the Okavango and go to one of the big game parks....someday.

Never been on my radar...especially since Animal Kingdom. I'm happy with the sanitised African Safari

My piano teacher is there at the moment somewhere. One of the big game parks amongst other things.

DH and I are chalk and cheese. We're complete opposites....we're not even born in the same hemisphere. Yes...he was born in South Africa. His family migrated to Oz when he was 21 or so.

It and the NZ accent are like fingernails on a chalk board to me.

I have an accent like shushh. Mild Aussie ....also known as "posh aussie" by some people...
It's well understood across the globe. They'll hear an accent but I don't usually need to repeat myself like some Aussies do.
