Awww, I should've gone to the Rush concert. I was a HUGE fan of theirs when I was in high school and went to two of their concerts. Even lost a little hearing in my right ear from their show. They are extremely good at live performance and I still love their songs. I was kind of shocked to read your thread because EVERY person I associate with now (we are in are late 30s to 40) either hasn't heard of them or can't stand them. I kept thinking "is it me???". I should have really gone but the last time I went to the Nissan Pavillion--yikes--it took me almost an hour and a half to get out of the parking lot.
Hehehe! Well, I am 32, so I am at least in my 30's! I've been a HUGE Rush fan since I was little. My Brother, who is older than me, bought me a tape of 2112 for my Birthday when I was very young, and it was my first album ever. I loved it and listened to it all the time. Thus a Rush fan was born.
The Rush Concert is always a funny concert. My best friend (who I also turned into an obsessive Rush fan) and I like to say that they are "Nerd Rock." A lot of computer geeks (no offense to those who take such a title as an insult. I married a computer geek!) and people like that. Mostly Men too, it seems. There aren't a lot of the obnoxious people that you run into at other concerts. My Best friend and I are probably odd as we dragged our husbands to the concert, and not the othe way around.
