Last minute trips - worth it or not?

Apparently, my moping about no Disney this year has been noticed. My darling spouse has offered to swap a trip we already had planned for Disney. The catch is I'd only have 30 days to plan. So, do you think you could put together a good trip with one month's notice - going at the busy time of year? Is a last minute trip worth it or no?

Of course. You don't have to stay on site with 60 day advance FP's and multiple dining reservations to have a great time.

You'll have virtually every FP to choose from aside from probably A&E.

We go about once a month, so essentially most of our trips could be labeled as spur of the moment. We rarely eat in the park, so not worried at all about adr's. Every trip we do it great.

And always remember..any Disney trip is better than no Disney

A last minute trip sounds wonderful however I would be a little worried for ADRs.

Sure, why not? You may not get every single thing you want but you'll certainly be able to pull together a fun trip. : ) good luck & have fun!

I much prefer the buildup/anticipation that comes with pre-planning. We just returned from a last-minute trip, and it was fun, but just seemed surreal....like I didn't have time to really let it soak in. But I enjoy planning. A lot.
