Okay so I'm going tomorrow night but Express is sold out. Tell me everything I need to do to try to do a least a few houses with minimal waits.

I'm a passholder. Do I go in early and wait in a holding area? What holding area? At what time does it open compared to the rest of the park?

The most important ones for me to do are Dead Silence, Nightmare On Elm Street, and The Thing.

HELP!

Thanks :)

You should do S & S as the first house you'll do is Nightmare on Elm Street then go down the street past Twister and hit Psychoscareapy. Then...you can head down to The Thing...the entrance is in front of E.T. Dead Silence is not open until 7pm so you might want to hit some of the others and then come back. If you do S & S, you should be able to hit four houses before even needing the EP. I've been twice and the longest wait I've seen so far has been 60 mins for Dead Silence on opening night.

The holding area is beside Jimmy Neutron but you'll see it.

Yes, definitely use your AP and get in early. We were able to do Camp Blood, Texas Chainsaw, and Psychoscarepy without waiting more than 5 mintues. After that, NOES and Dead Silence had 60+ minute lines last Saturday so we went over to the other side of the park, which was less crowded. We literally walked right into the Thing house twice...no wait at all when all the other houses were 45+ minutes. I guess a lot of people must have not seen that entrance? I would suggest either doing the soundstage houses first or last because the lines are really long in between those times.

Would an AP's stay and scream holding area be different than the Islands early entry stay and scream? We're 3 AP-holders going with 1 non-AP holder.

All I can tell you is the main S & S area has a metal detector behind it and Thursday night we saw some people coming in that way...I assume they were coming from IOA but can't verify. But...they were in the same area as the rest of us.

We went on opening night and came over from the IOA side...no line at all, but a bit of a walk around a bunch of warehouses and such without directions...just a few security people along the way. Easy.

We went into the first open house (@ 6pm) and then walked around and ended up (without knowing it) in the same darn line...we went in the express pass line, but hardly anyone checked our passes off the whole night.

We saw all the houses...Dead silence was by far my favorite. Saw two or three of the shows...IMHO not at all good. Looked for, but didn't find the scare zones, but got scared enough inside the houses...I swear I must have had a sign on my back that said: easily spooked, especially when she backs up from being chased by one monster into the arms of another monster.

One of the most fun things was that we rode the Mummy early on..I think the cast members were wanting to join in the scare fun ...there was a guy hiding in the ceiling who dropped down and scared the living daylights out of me. Fun stuff!

I don't think I'll become a HHN cultist, but I enjoyed myself...and without drinking even! (we had jello shooters but I'm pretty sure they contained zip alcohol! It was fairly crowded after dark, but the express passes worked great.

Do you have a complete list of opening times (or an approximation thereof?)?
The maps don't show the opening times. NOES, Psychoscareapy and Friday the 13th were open earlier than the others.

Flying ratmonkeys!

Oh well, I'm going to be doing Stay & Scream, plus have Connections at two of the houses. I'm sure I'll be able to see 4-6 houses before 9p. :cool2:
