Last minute trip possibilities - savings tips?

I just found out that my company might be sending me to a users conference at the Swan/Dolphin during the last week of June. If so, I may try to bring the family (DW, DD9, DS6) with me by driving down. Problem is that we are on a tight budget this summer since we splurged last June for a week at WDW/Carribean and were saving up for a return trip NEXT summer.

I would be willing to stay at an All Star for $99-$109 a night instead of the Swan or Dolphin to save the company money as well as drive to avoid airfare, taxi, long term parking charges (assuming they would reimbure my gas which would run me about $180).

Assuming those costs would be covered, I'm looking at 4 "After 2:00 PM tickets-2 day" tickets which would run me a total of $235. Would probably stay a few additional days on-site at $100/night and maybe take in Universal for a few days this time (never been there) with their 5 Day pass for the price of 2Days.

Any other last minute hotel discounts or savings offers out there that I'm overlooking? I'm off to check out mousesavers.com next.

Any help would be appreciated. I hope this all pans out for us!
Thanks!

This is just a suggestion but you might want to buy one AP. You could get a room discount now and if you return within a year like you plan then you would have a ticket and a room discount then as well.

and the room discounts are awesome- Deluxes from $124. Moderates are around $74.

What are after 2:00 p.m. two day tickets and how much are they please? Also, who sells them? I have never heard of them. You're talking about Disney not Universal right? Sounds like something that I would be interested but have never heard of this. Would appreciate your help. Thank you.

I find that once I get money in my hand I get rid of it. By this I mean, as soon as I get money I take some of it right away and put it in the bank this way I won't spend it. I find that if I have money in my hand I spend it. If I put it away I don't miss it. I just say I can't do this or that because I don't have the money and I try to wait until next week.

If going to US stay offsite to save money. Get a hotel with some type of free breakfeast then only have buy lunch and dinner. International drive have plenty of food places to eat for cheap. Also to save money take in mall and window shop.

They are convention tickets for those attending conventions at the Swan or Dolphin. The cost is $42/day or $75/2day adult or child for admission to one of the 4 parks ater 2:00 PM. They are not hopper tickets.
