last minute trip! need advice

we are planning a last minute trip over new years. any recommendations for offsite hotels near wdw that have a resort shuttle and an airport shuttle?

If by "resort shuttle" you mean transportation to Disney theme parks, there aren't hotels that have both. The Orlando International Airport is over 20 miles from Disney World. That's too far for hotels to offer scheduled transportation.

Your best bet is to find a hotel that offers free theme park shuttles, since you'll (probably) use that on multiple days. Then, purchase transportation from the airport to the hotel separately.

New Year's is one of the busiest times of the year. I'd recommend trying to stay at one of the Disney Springs Hotels. These properties are located on Disney property, but not owned or operated by Disney. They are walking distance to Disney Springs and to offsite dining options.

My favorite is the DoubleTree Suites. I actually stayed at that hotel over New Year's this past year.

I agree with writeguyfl in that it's better to pay to get to the hotel, and then use a shuttle to the theme parks.

Just take an uber/lyft from MCO to your hotel. Two weeks ago, I think it cost $32 for our trip from the Swan to MCO, though we added some for tip.

I would pick your hotel and get your tickets ASAP to try to get some fastpasses. This is the busiest time of the year, so anything would be better than nothing.

You will be dealing with massive crowds, so plan what you want to do with that in mind.
