Last minute trip.... (Help w/ dining)

We (Me, Wifey, Little Boy--3, and two Parents--60's) just put together a last minute trip to Disney during the week of October 8--16th........

Got a descent rate at the Polynesian.....

I figure that I will have no luck in character dining, but would love to find a few for the little one......

Also, do I need to try to book reservations or will I be able to find dining on a walk-in basis?

You should go on the official Disney website, www.disney.go.com. You'll be able to see what restauraunts are available and make your dining reservations. You probably will be able to get a character meal or two if your flexible with your times. You might be able to get 'Ohana for breakfast which would be convenient since your staying at the Poly.

Yes go to the website. It will show you all restaurants available for that day, by meal. So you can just pick from a list of restaurants with times. You can book them right through there.

The new online ADR booking is great. It will give you a list of places that are available at the time (or closest to the time) you select.

There are still good places available. I just recently booked Tusker House lunch (no characters) and also got one of the Finding Nemo ticket times.
