Last minute resort upgrade?

Any point in calling a few days before arrival (July 07) to see if Disney would offer a "deal" to upgrade from All Star Movies to, say, a Moderate or even Deluxe. I'd be willing to pay a little more if it was a good deal.

If anyone has had any experience along these lines, I'd appreciate your feedback.

I doubt you would have any luck unless you had a code or an ap. We buy PaPs every year and rely on this to get a discount on room only ressie. The CMS, as far as I am aware,(if wrong please put me right) have nothing to gain from offering the general public a cheap or free upgrade.
