last minute reservations

Has anyone had luck with last minute reservations (48hrs) We are getting off the wonder on 10-23 and wanted to go over to the parks for a couple of days. However everything is booked. Do they hold any kind of rooms for any reason that might come available? Anyone had a good experience?

While last minute availability is always a possibility, keep in mind that at 60 days prior all rooms unreserevd by DVC members are released for cash reservations by the general public. No rooms are held in reserve for members, although members can still make point reservations during that time period.

Well, we were able to book VWL at the last minute last week. Less than a week ahead. We were able to get a 1BR at VWL, for the week, except for one night. We were able to get a room at YC for that. We used points, except for Friday night (we always try and use cash for Friday or Saturday).

Call DVC and CRO. If CRO, has any DVC units, you'll pay more, however.
