Last minute rates?

I just got off the phone with DH ( he is out of town this week) and we have decided to leave for our trip early YAY!

The problem is I have nothing booked. We have AP's so tickets arent a problem, but I was wondering is anyone has ever had luck getting good walkin rates at the on property hotels?

We will don't know if we will arrive on Tuesday August 7th or Wednesday August 8th ( we drive, so it depends on a ton of things) which is why I don't want to book.

We will only stay a day or two until we head to San Diego for three days and then back at Disney August 11th ( we have our room booked for that).

Thanks for the links. Will probably use them on future trips.

The problem with this trip is we don't know which day we will be arriving. That's why I don't want to book, and looking for info on walkin rates.

You can book Priceline and LMT the day you check in; nothing too late but morning-early afternoon day of no problem.

Checking LMT for tonight ~ I see Holiday Inn on Walnut for $82, Red Lion on Harbor for $72, Clarion on Convention Way for $86...

We Hotwired a place for that night around 7pm, got a nice place at a great rate.

That is great to know. Thanks! I know we will be staying in Primm the night before we go, so hopefully I can get a room the night before with out a problem.

This is super stressful as I'm a planning fanatic.
