Last minute November trip Help please

Husband and I have booked a lest minute 5 day trip in nov 9 to nov 13 we have park reservattions now what else do we need to do before we go. Very lost in all this covid stuff. do we still make fp ? do we make dinner resevation? do we still have to get on boadring group to ride the falcon? tia for any help

At the present time there are no fb's. You should definitely make dinner reservations and yes you will need a boarding group for Rise of the Resistance. You will not need a boarding group for the Falcon. The only other thing you need to to do is have a great time!

No FastPasses....Boarding Group for Rise of the Resistance only, but you can only get this once you enter the park, not before. Definitely make dinner reservation because restaurants are at limited capacity.

thank you so we need to be there at rope drop to get in a boarding group correct via the app. This is the only ride we have to make a Fp or boarding group reservation for.

DH found it challenging to get a BG when he was there in January. He advises not to use the park WiFi. Have the app opened and ready to hit “join boarding group” exactly at 10.

He did this and wound up with a late day BG (somewhere in the 100s).

We weren’t able to get a boarding group this trip 9/12-9/19 even though we were on data not park WiFi and had it refreshing for the last couple minutes before10 and again at 2. Very frustrated with this; it was my third trip without being able to get a boarding group.

Maybe you need someone else trying for you, in addition to yourselves doing it in park.

As far as the BG and WiFi goes, I actually got one before my son and I was using WiFi, he was using Verizon data plan. A lot of people say don't try it on the WiFi so we decided to both try it at the same time, standing in the same location with the App open at the same place. I think it might just be luck of the draw.

Be prepared to wait in lines; they move fast, but are still a long wait due to increased guest counts (actual capacity might go up more by November). Still in the “Bubble” and feeling safe is great!

Chuckling because planning over a month out is hardly "last minute"--we used to plan a week or less out when my work schedule was such that I couldn't plan vacations months ahead of time.

There's a whole thread in the Star Wars Galaxy Edge subforum on how to do the virtual queue. Key thing is to "practice" at home so you get used to navigating the virtual queue screens and being lightning quick on the taps. I practiced for a bout a week before our trip and got BG 2 on our first try on our HS day--my DH did not practice and completely flubbed it and I had our BG before he even got to the virtual queue screen saying all BP have been distributed for the day. It is definitely worth taking the time to practice.

Also, the 10am queue is a must: the 2pm one often only distributes high-numbered and/or backup groups that they might not get to over the course of the days since the ride still has a lot of technical issues and downtime.

As others have said there are no FP+ but yes you’ll need ADRs for table service meals. For QSmeals you’ll need to do mobile order so make sure you’re familiar with that process. And as for getting a boarding pass for ROTR, make sure you’re familiar with the virtual queue inside MDE. You’ll need to be inside DHS before 10 and 2 to get a boarding pass. We did very few ADRs on our last trip since we played most of our park days by ear and were more relaxed. It was a great trip and one of our favorites.
