Our APs expire in early November, and I've been itching to get in at least a quick weekend back at WDW. We had 2 nice trips on these APs, but the last one in February was marred by unexpected illnesses that my kids suffered. We actually extended our trip in February for an extra 2 days to try to make a go out of it, but they were still down for the count.

All that said it was still a wonderful time. But it left me a little empty. We didn't get to do all that we wanted and felt a little incomplete. Still had a great time, but it left me wanted more.

So last night I booked an impromptu wife-and-I only trip. We've never been without the kids and we are both Disney addicts. We'll be there 10/23 - 10/26 at the dolphin with a pretty decent rate, so that helps. Really looking forward to it!

Anyone have any no-kids tips? I'm going to try to get into the Cali Grill for dinner one night, not sure how much luck I'll have at this late date.

Anyway, just wanted to share the excitement!

Hope you have a magical visit to WDW:dance3: :yay: :woohoo: :dance3: :wizard: :thumbsup2 :cool1: :cool1: :) :) :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes

definitely try and do some nice dinners for just the 2 of you. i would try for places you would never eat at with the kids. also take time to "smell the roses." just enjoy being able to do what you guys want to do and not have to worry about getting the kids needs in and making nap time for them. how about a spa day for you guys at GF? there is so much you can do on an adults trip. check out the adults board. there are alot of suggestions there.

i just decided to book a trip yesterday for the end of this month too. i can't wait!

Hey - a spa treatment is a great idea. Also want to try to do that Segway tour thing we always want to do. Thanks for the info!
