Last Minute Mariner Booking...and now I’m nervous.

We just booked a last minute 3 Day cruise on the Mariner for April. Our son is graduating this year, and he mostly wanted to spend spring break at home with his friends while we wanted to get in some extra fun time with him before college😀, so this was the compromise. But now that we’re booked, I’m feeling really nervous. Our preferred way to cruise is NCL in the Haven, but since this is primarily for our kid, we thought we’d try RC because of all the fun activities onboard. Also REALLY like the look of CocoCay! We booked a suite, and I didn’t know about the Key thing, and I can’t quite justify the expense of adding that on. Also, I don’t seem to be able to adjust our dining time online as I’ve read some other guests are able to do on a day-to-day basis? I also don’t see the Escape Room or laser tag listed as an option under activities...does that mean it’s sold out??

I love disboards and have been avidly using this site for years...I am so glad I just discovered the RC forum here because I am sure you all will help calm me down!😂

Hi Samara! I am also booked on the Mariner in April. 4/24 sailing. I think you will be fine without the key. You get some priorities just being suite guests. I have another cruise booked later and I don’t see the escape room as an option to book then either, so I’d assume you book that on the ship. My husband and I went to perfect day last year on the Mariner and loved it. We cruised DCL 4 times before switching to RCL and like it fine..Daily dining reservations are if you have ‘my time dining’. Enjoy!

Are you booked for standard dining, or My Time Dining? You can only schedule times for My Time Dining. They don’t always offer Escape Room and Laser Tag on the cruise planner. Join your Roll Call on Cruise Critic and someone there will post when either activity shows up on the cruise planner. Otherwise you can sign up if there is room on the day you board.

Pretty sure it's not an apple to apple comparison being in Haven (NCL) and on Mariner in a Grand Suite or up (RCCL)

Thanks for the replies! I am feeling much better about the Escape Room and laser tag issue😀. I have no problem booking on board! I definitely don’t expect it to be the same as NCL Haven. Mostly just want to do fun stuff with my kiddo! My roll call on Cruise Critic is not active at all, only like 3 members, so sadly I don’t think I’m going to get a lot of info there.
