Ok, we leave in two weeks from today for the most magical pixie dust filled place in the universe. :goodvibes YES the universe. :wizard: Can you tell I am excited and a bit nutty!

So I am asking you all to throw at me all your Disney help. Tips, suggestions, what to miss, what not to miss, thoughts on life and its meaning....well you get the point.

We enjoy eating, shopping, photography and I just started pin collecting. We have no kids just me and the DH. So anyone with helpful advice on these things we want to hear from you........................ :listen:

I say don't miss a thing if time permits. You should Fast Pass all the bigger rides. This way you will have more time for other thing. The 3-D shows are great!! also a good place to cool off if it's a bit warm. Dinning: you have to go to the Polyneisian for dinner at O'hannas ! Family loves this place
There is so much to do and see just take your time.

ENJOY :flower:

WDW 10/04
WDW 2/05

WDW 2/07 IN THE WORKS

I would say go on Tower of Terror and Mission Space, but like disney_me said fast pass that and all the big rides.

What's really fun is to try to find hidden Mickey's in the parks, and resorts. ::MickeyMo Also, try bringing some food in the park with you because it really adds up :earseek: if you eat in the resturaunts every meal.

If your going to Animal Kingdom try going on Kilamanjaro Safari ride in the moring because no animals are out in the heat of the afternoon and the ride line takes forever. :hourglass

Basically have fun and enjoy your trip. :wizard:

Don't forget Soarin' in Epcot. :) Wait for the front (top) row - it's worth the wait.

Thanks everyone. Anymore not to be missed magical moments.............

On our last trip, we decided to rent a water mouse from the marina at the Poly. It was soo much fun! We took some great pics and had lots of laughs. Definitely something we plan to do next time, as well. Have a great trip :)

Not sure how long you will be staying at WDW, but if you have the time, it is definitely fun to explore the Wilderness Lodge as well as Animal Kingdom Lodge.

Boma's at the Animal Kingdom Lodge has a wonderful breakfast buffet that is not to be missed.

Flame Tree Barbecue is one of the yummiest restaurants at Animal Kingdom. If you liked the music from Tarzan, be sure to check out Tarzan Rocks at Animal Kingdom before it ends (they are closing it in January).

Be sure to make meal reservations in advance for sit-down restaurants by calling 407-WDW-DINE.

A GREAT resource with restaurant menus, tips, etc. is allearsnet.com

Like others have said, Soarin' is one of the best attractions at any of the parks; the restaurant outside of the ride has excellent salmon (if you like fish).

One more thing...The Earl of Sandwich at Downtown Disney (the Marketplace area) has an excellent menu with very reasonable prices. The tomato soup is delish; it is one of the best values on Disney property (sandwiches are $4.95 a piece). Service is quick, too...the line may look long, but it is worth the wait. They serve till 11 p.m. at night in case you have a late night of shopping and want to grab a bite.

Hope you and your DH have a WONDERFUL time!

You are so right. We had the front row for Soarin and did not realize our luck until the ride was over! My four year old loved it!

Ask a CM @the monorail if you can ride up front with the operator. They have always tried to accomodate us when we ask politely. It's a wonderful view at night. I hope your trip is truly magical........... :flower:

That sounds neat! :goodvibes

Bring your camera and take LOTS of pics!! Characters can be found in some out of the way spots (next to Pirates)(back of Morocco).

Don't be afraid to do some resort hopping...when you leave a park, just hop on the bus/monorail/boat going to a different resort and walk around. The themes are fantastic!!

Also, don't skip the little rides because they are "for kids"...these can be fun too!!(I love the Barnstormer at Magic Kingdom).

Bring more than 1 pair of shoes! If you get caught in a rainstorm, you don't want to have to walk around in wet sneaks the next day too (YUK!)

If you're fair skinned...bring AND USE sunscreen...nothing ruins a vacation like a nasty sunburn.

Just back from a week at WDW. Two tips for Soarin':

1) Get a fast pass the first thing in the morning. They go very quickly; even if you go to the fast pass machines at 10:00 or 11:00 a.m., your "return window" often isn't until much later in the day (even at this "slow" time of year!). We went at about 1:30 one day, and they were totally sold out for the day. It's definitely the most popular ride at Epcot right now.

2) You can specifically ask the cast members for the first row. They will allow you to wait for it, if need be - it's worth waiting a few minutes to sit in the first row. If you are in the second or third rows, you see everyone's feet hanging above you - very distracting. The first row goes the highest, and no feet to distract you!

Just went to WDW two weeks ago. I was unsure about riding Mission Space. Do not usually have motion sickness problems (love every other ride at WDW). Decided to chance it -- and didn't like Mission Space at all! First, they give you about 6 or 7 chances to back out; second, they have "barf bags" right on the ride (not a good sign!). I didn't get motion sickness at all, but hated the sensation of the heavy g-forces. It really freaked me out. Think about it really hard before you go - I have talked to people who said it ruined their whole afternoon/day, because they felt so awful afterward.

To be fair, though, some people love it! Everyone has their own favorites, but MS isn't one of mine! (Plus, it never had more than a ten-minute wait while we were there - not a good sign, either!)
