Last minute guest, can we add him to the last day of our stay?

So I booked me and my husband at CSR a couple months back. We booked it all in one package, tickets, genie + and all. It's 4 nights. Our trip is in a week. My brother has told us he will meet us there on our last night and stay last minute. Problem is 1 - it's a king bed room and 2 - I think it's too late to completely change our package to a 2 queen without a fee.

I would book him his own room in CSR but there are no one night stays available, only multiple nights for CSR. I looked at all the resorts and nothing available under $500 ( for now).

Any idea on how to proceed? I called a CM and the only solution they had is to cancel everything and do two separate packages. But again, I think I'll incur a fee.

I would like for him to stay on property with us but I guess we will use Disney springs hotels as a backup plan.

Even if you had a room with two queen beds, you couldn't add him to the last day of your stay ahead of time. You would have to wait until the day he is arriving before you could add him for one night. You can ask when you check in if there will be an extra room for one night. There will be more flexibility to change things without penalties once you arrive.

I would look into changing to a room with 2 queens. As long as the price of your package doesn't decrease, I don't think they'll charge you a change fee. Even if they do charge a change fee I think it's only something like $50 which is much less than the cost of another room for 1 night. Then you can add your brother to the reservation after you arrive. He'll need to buy his ticket separately. As PP mentioned, you cannot add him before arrival or he would need the same tickets and the extra adult charge every night, but you should be able to add him after you arrive.

When he gets there we were going to get a 1 day ticket for him. Will they be able to link his resort stay to the ticket for early entry?

The problem is more likely to be park reservations.
It's for Saturday 9/10. Me and my husband have Epcot reserved. So far all parks are available but I know that could change especially with food and wine. I'm honestly open to going to any park though. We will probably leave by 6pm.

Does he have an MDE account? If not you may want to create a profile on your account. Then it shouldn't be any problem to link him to the reservation once he's added.

As PP mentions, I'd be more concerned about theme park reservations. Hopefully they remain open but I strongly recommend keeping an eye on the availability calendar in the meantime, and buying him a ticket if it goes yellow. There is really no particular value in waiting to purchase the ticket if he's certain he's going. Epcot is the least likely to "sell out" so hopefully it all works out for you.

As above, you can buy him a ticket as soon as you know he’s coming, or sooner if parks start to book up. Link the ticket to his profile in MDE (his, if he has one, yours if he doesn’t) and then when he checks into the resort make sure his name is added to the room reservation too. That will link his ticket for purposes of ETPE.
