Are ECV's available for rental at the last minute, or do they run out quickly? My wife had foot surgery and we are not sure if she will need an ECV or not until we get closer to our arrival on September 5th at POR for 9 nights. Thinking about renting from Walker Mobility.

You are not going at a real busy time, so may have no problem with last minute. I would suggest taking along a few numbers. That way, if your first choice can't provide one, you have some others to choose from.

You can find contact information for a number of companies, including Walker, in post 2 of the disABILITIES FAQs thread.
You can find that thread near the top of this board or follow the link in my signature.

I broke my foot at POFQ a few years back. My sister called Walker Mobility while were at the hospital and they had an ECV at the resort for me that night.

I would not hesitate to use Walker Mobility :). I have rented twice since Disney's preferred provider list went into effect and have had no issues with drop off or pick up.

I just booked a scooter with Walker today for our Sept land/sea trip They will drop it off at the Hyatt and pick it up at our post cruise Disney hotel.
With Walker on the return you have to wait with the scooter on the return until they bring up the van for pick-up Doesn't seem to be a problem for us They asked us when our DME pickup would be and scheduled accordingly..
