I'm driving down to Disney tomorrow night (4/22/2005) and yesterday afternoon, I finally called for my DDE. I explained I has an AP voucher (back from the SSR bonus days ), and the nice DDE lady had me read the gobble-de-duke number to her. Then she said fine, would you like a secound, complimentary card for a spouse or life partner. I said sure, but I would also need help in getting a spouse of life partner, what did she have in stock?

So after that lead ballon of a joke, crashed through the floor, and she said it now takes 6-8 weeks for the card to be mailed out of PA. I said what about Sunday. She had a temporary card processed and waiting for me at Epcot as of today!

Still no spouse of life partner, though.

Well, how about the Rent/Trade Forum, then? It's not only for points, is it?

I ordered my DDE on March 6th and it still hasn't arrived. Not a problem in itself but my email cover note expires before I leave for WDW.

I just called DDE. My card was sent to Pennsylvania on 2 April to be printed, then it will be sent to me. As we live in England there isn't much chance it will arrive before we leave home for the airport on April 30.

They are no longer issuing emails to use until your card arrives. You have to collect a 'temporary letter' from Guest Relations outside Epcot.

I think this is much less helpful than the email. We are staying at VWL. We might want to have meals in MK or the resorts in that area before we go over to Epcot. I guess we will have to make a trip over there straight away to collect the DDE letter. Kind of a waste of an hour though...... We have a rental car or we could get the bus or boat and monorail there, but still it is a bit of a pain.

Never mind, not a terrible problem to have! I am going to WDW in 10 days!!!!!!!!!!!
