Last minute baby-moon visit to WDW @ VWL...so excited!

I just had to share my excitement with everyone....

DW and I are expecting our first baby in August, and we wanted to do a small 'baby-moon' trip the last time as "just the two of us". We thought about a short local trip within Ontario, or another Canadian city. I mentioned Disney....as a joke....(sort of). Yeah right, a last minute DVC trip? No way.

Our last trip was for marathon weekend in January at SSR, so it hasn't exactly been a long time, but I miss the place already.....am I nuts???

Wasn't able to get a stay on points, but we got VWL on a cash ressie with a 25% discount for May 7-10. We're wait listed for BLT, but either one will be great.

We've done quite a few WDW trips over the last few years, just the two of us, and I love the Disney magic more and more each time. DVC has made that possible. Next year we'll be taking our newest addition to the family to the 'World'. Let the memories begin!

Is anyone else as much of a Disney nut as I am???

You are not crazy. Get it out now while you can. Your life is about to change......mostly for the better

Stalk the MS website to see what else is available. Check 2-3 times a day...especially in the morning a few hours after they open, and at night. you never know what might open up. You could get a room at VWL and pay less cash. Use the points now while you can. If you are anything like me, traveling with an infant is less than ideal. Traveled twice before my daughter was a year old (non disney) and we decided to wait till my son was over a year. I can't imagine baby bottles in the parks.

I could have written your post - LAST YEAR! We went to Disney World for Christmas in 2011. We found out we were pregnant when we got home. We thought we'd be taking time off, but in February, we found great airfare and decided to go in May for our anniversary as our "last trip". It wasn't completely the same as our previous trips since there was a lot that I couldn't do. We still had a blast, did some shopping for baby, and dreamed of what the next trip would be like.

We were due in September, but Jack came in August 2012. We took him for his first trip in January 2013. We had the BEST trip. It was completely different, but amazing. We're heading back again at the end of the summer for his 1st birthday.

If you're nuts, then we are too! Congratulations!!!

I wish we had done one last trip when I was pregnant with DD. Have fun!

We're there that same week on a sort of babymoon/DD's last trip as an only child (I'll be 15 weeks).

We did that on our first trip home to BCV in October 2003. I was 7 months pregnant with our 1st DS. OB/GYN said it was fine to fly and go, just take it easy. I took a nap pretty much every afternoon and stuck my feet in the hot tub by the pool each night. Was a fantastic trip and one of our favorites. Took it slow and easy. No thrill rides that trip, only the safari. I did do that even though it was not advised. Just really bumpy but no problems.
