last days on the DCP?

My last day is January 7th.. yay I wanna go home and see my doggie! I was just wondering, what is your schedule like the last week you're here? Do you still work until the day before? Do they give you time to pack?

Usually you'll work until the Wed before check-out. However, it is possible to be scheduled the Thurs before check-out as well.

If your check out is Friday Jan 7, you're last day of work will likely be Wednesday Jan 5. Your schedule before that will be normal. They're supposed to give you the day before check out off. Also, be aware that if you call in on any of your last 3 days of work, you can face termination! And trust me, calling in on those last 3 days will be extremely tempting lol.
but you're expected to be moved out of your apartment by 11 or noon on friday.
for me, i spent that day before check out going and seeing all my favorite attractions with my roommates and friends. made my rounds of goodbyes at my work location and finished the day off with Wishes of course. one of the saddest days of my life lol but it pretty magical. Wishes was filled with like 300 hundred crying college kids, guests were SO confused lol. after wishes was over, we were all just standing around crying and hugging. and everyone was hugging lol even people that didnt know eachother, like i said, it was magical but so depressing! then that night, i was up til 6:30am packing. woke up at 7:30 to say goodbye to one of my roommates. its a very exhausting, physically and emotionally, couple of days!

Also, UPS will be there the morning of check out selling boxes and shipping them for you (at a price of course) just in case everything doesnt fit!

At the Walt Disney World Resort, the current policy is that Disney Internships and Programs Participants will be scheduled one day off prior to departure. Participants with Friday departure dates will be scheduled off Thursday/Friday/Saturday of their last week of work. Participants with Saturday departure dates will be scheduled off Friday/Saturday of their final week of work.

At the Disneyland Resort, Disney Internships and Programs Participants who don't intend to remain with Walt Disney Parks and Resorts U.S., Inc. in some capacity after their programme will need to submit at least two weeks seperation notice to their Salaried Leader. They may be scheduled to work up to and including their final day of work unless they request time off beforehand.

thanks everyone for the info...I'm not suprised about the UPS thing..my roomate who was termed had 5 suitcases ...she unsuprisingly, needed to ship some home. We suffer a bit of from shopaholism...its especially bad christmas time, because I'm buying everyones presents/souvenires.
NicoleRose, thanks for the advice especially..the castle/crying thing is kind of funny..sad, but I imagine everyone is wondering why because Wishes is supposed to be inspiring, not sad.

Do you know if the pricing will be less than if the boxes were purchased at a UPS store? My daughter will be moving from Vista to Chatham and she has finally realized that she took too many clothes with her from home. She wants to ship some of them back home and I had told her to go to the UPS Store over by the Outlet Mall for the supplies. If they might be cheaper for her to buy them when they are there, I would rather her do that.
