I love the new stuff. I generally don't like posters but the Mars poster is fantastic. And I was glad to be able to get 5* X2 and be able to gift one as well! And blue space... I <3 space suits and it's too bad we can't enjoy them for longer.

Well, at least we can see the new items before closing. But what exactly is the point? We can't do much with it now.

I would much rather spend my last day (after I get home) with friends rather than worrying about buying stuff and setting up a room.

The Tiki Items were supposed to go on a huge release in June, to kickoff Summer 2008 in VMK.

The Midway Items were supposed to go on sale with a huge Midway Themed Month in July, so as to advertise for the two new rides in WDW and DLR.

I think they were also planning a Mission Space month. I love Mission Space and that month would've rocked.

Why even have a price on any item? I had hoped that they would just put almost everything in the stores so those who did not have an item could get it.

There is animation in each of the prize booths; it's automatic as you pass by the booth. I've set up a simple ride room so you can see it for yourself if you want.

Ring toss - rings throw themselves on the pegs
Milk bottles - bottles get knocked over by baseballs
Darts - ballons get popped by darts

You can search for the room by my VMK name - live.your.dreams. I'll try to keep the room open all day, but I may be afk when you visit.

Oh that just KILLS me!

I just got through listening to many podcasts this week featuring Meg Crofton's press event introduction of Toy Story Midway Mania at Disney's Hollywood Studios.

Since that's supposed to open at the end of this month, and the same attracation at Disney's California Adventure opens a couple weeks after that, you know VMK had developed this WAY before they knew they were closing.

So sad.

I know there had to be a LOT of people putting a lot of hard work into creating all the new items we've seen this week. My heart goes out to them, too.
