last breakfast seating & character interaction

If I book the last breakfast seating at Tusker House, how will the food selection be? What about the character interaction? Do they leave at a specific time? I want to make sure that we will have a chance to see them!

I did not have luck with a later 10:30 am ressie at 1900 Park Faire, the food was terrible, hard and dry, no replenishing going on, just one egg station open, never saw any characters because we were a small table of 2 that was boxed in by other tables and the characters could not get to us so they waved instead.

Now we did a 10:30 at Cape May and the food was awesome but we never did see Chip and Dale.

I think the best way to do a character breakfast is right when they open....it seems the busier the place is the harder to see characters.
