laser pages ???

Hi All

so I'm working on L's swimming album and I'm trying to find the best way to get lots of pics on 1 page that depict a heat. At CKC I bought the laser pages and those seemed to work well but the $ would be insane to do a whole book that way.

Is there a cricut cart that I can make my own on? I don't have SCAL or DS so I just would have to do it on my own.

Or any other advice would be great. 1st meet of this season is a week away and I have just started last years. I'm still combing through his pics to find the perfect one for the cover of his album. I'm going to have a scrap it simple album made. Tracie has some new technology that she prints a fabric photo and makes an album with that. Her's seem the only ones that I'm going to get the medals into that will not make a mess of the album. Unless someone else has another idea?

I don't know what is a laser page.

If I have a lot of similar photos that I want to include all of - ie a sequence or parade or something like that - I photoshop two or 4 on a 4x6 before printing. If you put on two then they're 3x4 inches each, if you put on 4 then they're 2x3 inches. Then I may have one large photo on the page surrounded by the sequence - or run the sequence across the top of a two page spread edge to edge with larger scrapped photos/journaling below.

Another thing I have done is scrap asequence of photos diagonally across a two page spread, edge to edge (that is with no space between the photos)

Linda there are 2 vendors at CKC ezlaserdesigns and dillons. Ez was in the second row this year and dillons was farther over by the fabric place.

Did you see any of the pages that i did at the hotel? those were all laser pages. basically they have cut outs and your pics fit in those be it words or full size pics. let me see if i can dig out the swim pages and post what I'm talking about.

I managed on these two pages to do 2 heats of a meet. I'd like to create pages like the 2nd one for the pages in the book

Those ARE cute. Couldn't you do the same arrangement without the cut outs? There must be some 'dead' space in the photos over which you could "pop dot" the title block.

You could probably do something similar on a Cricut.

Linda i have done them that way just didn't really like the look and ripped it apart. something about the lines just made it stand out. If I uncover the camera I'll post the completed pages. I think it's lost on the scrap desk.

Cheryl they are fun but actually challenging to fill. check out the other company too. I drop a LOT of money at CKC to these two.

Do you have an Expression or the small bug? I can either make or find you a file that uses the cartridges that come with your machine. You'll need the trial version of CDS (which you can download).

right now I just have the small but my best friend has the expression that I borrow. I'm hopin santa brings me the expression.
