Hi all

I was just wondering if any of you have had laser eye surgery?
I have just booked my consultation for next week and i am so nervous / scared.

I do think that it will improve my life a lot, for instance the children love swimming but i find it hard to take them as i cannot see when we are in the water and feel that i can not watch them as well as i should.
When we go to Florida next year i want to be able to see them when they are in the water parks etc.

But even though there are so many positive reasons to get this done i am still really scared. Any advice?

Also i have chosen to get it done at Optical Express, has anyone had it done there?

Thanks

Mandy :grouphug:

A friend of mine had it done in February and is really happy, she said that for a week or so after the operation she was uncomfortable and her vision was poor but she was never in any pain. :goodvibes

i had mine done a few years ago now, ive never regretted it for a second :thumbsup2

Thanks guys, it is such a bid decision for me because i worry a lot lol. It really helps to read positive stories :thumbsup2

Do a search on here, there was one a couple of years ago when I had mine done, never regretted the decision, I love being able to see well outdoors and don't worry if its raining as I can still see without cleaning specs, my only complaint is I had one eye done for distance and the other for close up and it should take the brain a few weeks to adjust but I don't think mine ever has so some close up reading of very small writing is difficult, I was told to buy some of those magnifying glasses to help but they make it worse so I pinch DH's reading glasses when he's not using them. Being able to wear nice sunglasses is another bonus. Good luck with the consultation.

I had mine done with Optical Express 18 months ago, and I couldn't be happier with the results. 20/20 vision now, but I wish they had warned me that my eyes would initally take longer to focus when reading!

I had a small blister on one eye which was very itchy on the first night but otherwise my eyes felt completely normal after a couple of days.

I had mine done 2 years ago and I love being able to go out without having to worry about steaming up or getting wet lenses in the rain!

It was fantastic to be able to see the kids when we were at TL too, and to finally see all of the special details on the rides that I had never been able to see before for fear of losing my specs!

Good luck with your consultation!
