We are thinking of going to Las Vegas for a few days and would love to be able to get back to Disneyland. Is is possible to drive? If so, how long would you estimate the trip would be?

At one time I thought there was a train but I don't think the route is available any more.

According to Mapquest and Google Maps, it is approximately a 4 hour drive one way, and that's taking the Interstate.

No trains anymore into Las Vegas.

It is very possible to drive. Having done it many times I can say Google Maps is quite close - four to four and a half hours. Leaving Vegas on a Sunday will add another 90 minutes to even two hours.

JetBlue has flights about $50 each way from Vegas to Long Beach and Long Beach to Vegas, and have $39 specials often on the Vegas to Long Beach flight

Thanks so much for the info everyone. Is there anywhere we should stop along the way, whether it be a good place to grab a bite to eat or a place of interest? Don't want to miss anything.

Another option is the LuxBus. $89 RT from Vegas directly to Anaheim. I believe someone posted a thread about that, complete with pictures, about a year ago or so.

GrandBob thanks so much for the idea. By the way your posts were very helpful 2 years ago when we drove down to Disneyland from San Francisco via Monterey. We followed your suggested route and stayed in Monterey and had a great time.
Thanks again!!

there isn't much to miss so you don't need to worry:rotfl2:, we stop to eat at the In & Out burger outside of Barstow. The rest stop between Baker and Vegas has been remodeled, and actually has some cool information to learn/see. I would plan on leaving LV around 9 putting you at the DLR about 1, missing morning traffic.

Seriously, if you're looking at places to stop, Peggy Sue's Dinner outside of Barstow and Calico Ghost Town can be fun.
