a budget friendly long weeknd with flights. Isn't this low season? i'm getting very high rates.

anyone on from NEvada who knows a site to search or the low season dates?

if you want "budget friendly" vegas, change the trip dates to a sunday-thursday, non-weekend trip.

the socal weekend visitors drive the hotel rates up considerably.

and try to avoid the larger conventions, listed here:

Vegas hotel rooms generally cost a lot more (3X) Friday and Saturday night. You'll get your best deal Sun-Th nights.

This is pretty much peak season in Vegas. Everyone wants to go there now when it is cold at home, and the temperatures are nice, but not too hot in Vegas. Weekend rates are always high this time of year, but you can get some pretty low rates for weekday trips. Summer is when you find the cheapest rates in Vegas, because nobody wants to be there in July and August. The best way to get the cheapest rates is to get on the E-mail lists for all the hotels you are interested in. I'm on a few lists and I get some really great offers for discounted rates. We've done a Bellagio fountain view room for $119 a night before (would have been either $89 or 99 for the regular view) and that was not during summer.

We just got air from Portland, OR to Las Vegas, NV - 2 nights at Imperial Palace (not the best hotel, but location is perfect, and NO FEES!)- Airport Transfers : All for $375.00 with Southwest Airlines Vacations - leaving on a Tuesday, returning on a Thursday.

Allegiant air often has killer flight prices, if they are available around you.

Just got home from Vegas yesterday as the Consumer electronic showcase was coming into town, bringing over 100,000 people with it.
There are a lot of conventions this time of year. Our room at the palazzo was $169/nt Saturday and sunday, but $500 for Monday! Needless to say, we didn't stay there that night. Next week is the adult entertainment expo, also another big one

We just stayed at the Paris last week, flew in Tuesday and checked out Friday. We did a package through expedia, but we got bumped to a suite, so I wanted to know what the suite was per night. Our rate on our room was $100/night. (The suite was $550/night, holy moly!) I thought $100/night was pretty nice.

I just thought about this as well. Isn't the Miss America pageant happen this week or next? I don't know when you're planning on going, but that might be part of the issue.

Yes it is the intended low season but there are a lot of conventions at this time of year. Need to check each week to find the off week. It also may be better to try and dates for Sundays thru Wed when they tend to heat up for extended weekends.
