Large Van Hire For 10

can anyone tell me where to hire a large minibus type van for 10 people ,we want the van for about 4 days,probably picking up on international drive,we want to book and pay when we arrive,is there anywhere that people can reccomend,also if you dont have a credit card does anyone know what type of cash deposit is needed

we hired cheverolet Astro for 8 last year from the rental agency in sanford airport but i think that was the biggest they did at that time, for next years trip we're going to get a 12 person van which may be what you're thinking of. we have a quote for "any driver" and a tank of fuel ((gold insurance option)) from Yes car hire website, found a link for the site somewhere on these boards but i'm sure a search in your browser should do it, have a good trip!! have just checked again and if u put 'cheap car hire' in the "search this forum" box at the bottom of the page you'll find my original thread and the replies including direct links to the best car hire websites. cheers!

It's going to work out a lot more expensive that way than if you prebook ( and prepay) from the UK. The insurance you'll get charged is likely to be quite high. If you're looking at 5 days it's probably be cheaper to book to a whole week, often the "breakeven" between daily booking and a weekly rate is about 5 days.

Holiday Autos do a 12 seater van that costs ( I did begining of Oct as I don't know when you're travelling) from £399 for a week , £306 for 4 days and £385 for 5 days. That's including all insurances. I think your choices are 8 seater or 12 seater, I don't think many have 10 seaters.

Without a credit card the amount of cash you would need to pay over could run into thousands of $$, particularly for an expensive minivan. Does no one in your group have a CC? It's not that you need to have the available limit on it as they'll only take an imprint of the card. Without a CC it's likely to prove a difficult situation, a direct debit ( bank) card should work as long as it has a visa or mastercard symbol on it.
