Large Group on Budget NEEDS Large Savings :)

Hi All. I know this is an everyday question here and I'm sorry for it, I've been searching the old post, but not finding much. I have a large group of people 14 or 15 going to Orlando in June and we definately need to save some $$$. Tickets are of course the most expensive thing overall and I was wondering if there are any good savings out there. I know in the past, there have been sponsor websites offering discount tickets, etc. Special codes for websites, that kind of stuff. Does anyone know of anyplace like that? Either Disney or Universal? If not, where is the best place to buy tickets the cheapest? Does anyone offer discounts for large groups? Please, if anyone can help, it would be greatly appreciated. My sister's family is finally going to get to make the trip and they have never been to Florida before, much less Disney. They are so excited, but money is a definate factore. So, any info is great. Thanks.

We went as a group of 14 once and looked into group rates. Of course, it took 15 to make a "Group". It probably isn't easily found on the web, but you could try calling and asking for group rates.

I would check the universal web site for ticket specials. They frequently run great deals. I would also call ticketmania and ask for group rates. Do you belong to AAA? You can get a discount through them also on tix and rooms - I would call about group pricing. Is this group all in one or several families together? ie are you paying for everything or making arrangements for group rates for individual families to pay? Are you staying onsite or off? Don't forget to call the ticket brokers and ask for any special deals on multi park, including wdw. Last year and I htink until this april they had a fun in the sun ticket that was a pretty good deal. Just start making calls!

As far as Disney goes, you can save on the tickets by getting the base Magic Your Way ticket only. Those are the cheapest. When you add on the prak hopping and no expiration and plus options, it gets more expensive. For an extremely budget trip I would recommend the base tickets.

Universal has tickets Buy 2 days get 3 free. So you can spend 5 days at the Universal Parks for $99.

They can also have fun in a Value Resort on property. Or you can try the Cypress Point off property. On Hotelkingdom.com you can get a 3 bedroom unit (sleeps 10) for $139 and a one bedroom villa (sleeps 4) for $70 or a wo bedroom villa (sleeps 6) for $96. If you go this route (off property) I would recommend a car, so overall it may end up being more expensive. You would have to check.

You need to go to mousesavers AND sign up for the monthly email. In there you will find the cheapest prices on tickets. Just looking on mousesavers isn't enough.

Thanks for the replies We have, or will have soon accommodations, we are renting a 7 bedroom house, it seemed like the best way to go and the cheapest overall. Yes, we are all one big family, so if we had to order tickets all together, we could then pay the person for them. I've been to mousesavers, and it's a great site, Universal looks like the best deal overall, just wondering if anyone knew of anything that would save more. The new tickets for disney are a little confusing to me, but it does look like the 3 day pass would be the way to go. Any hints or tips for us to save money on ANYTHING would be great!!! Coupons, etc. or if you hear of any great savings on tickets... please please let me know.
