I am in charge of a group of 10 heading to the parks first week in February. The tickets are bought and all linked to my Disney App / Account. What is the process of using my phone at the gates to check each person in? Do I need to show my phone for each person's ticket? What am I missing? Any help is welcomed.

Yes, if you are the only one with the tickets on the phone, you will need to scan each person thru.

You can have others download the app and add their tickets to their own accounts.

We frequently travel with 8-12 people. Everyone (except the 6-11yos) has everyone on their account. So, all can scan anyone else in. An example, II am on an ECV. My daughter will scan herself in, and while I have my own scan, it is easier for my daughter to scan for me as the the gate people tend to miss me. But it allows us to spread out to get thru the gate faster. Even the 11yo will have a picture of her ticket on her phone. If the other people will be ordering food, you might have them get the app.

If I were to have everyone on my account....then everyone would have access to my account, ie. my credit card on file for purchases. I am a bit confused how to have everyone on my account, but everyone controls their own purchases, etc.

Everyone does not need to be on your account, though that is an option (with drawbacks, as you mention). I think Malcon10t was saying everyone has everyone on their own account. The same ticket can be scanned into multiple accounts- the system "knows" it's the same ticket.

I suppose it depends a little on the nature of your party if you want everyone to have everyone's ticket in their account or if each person just has their own. If you are the only one, it will be a little bit of hassle at least the first time as you will have to stand at the turnstile to get each person scanned in. At that first scan a paper ticket will be issued (and a photo taken) so from that point forward each member of your party would have their own paper ticket as well which could also be used from that point forward. But as PP said- there are multiple other reasons for people get the app (mobile food ordering, Genie+, ILL etc.) so it might be good for at least the adult/teen members of your party to get the app and create their own accounts.

I understand now. Everyone going is over 18 so I suppose they could all have their own accounts, but that becomes a hassle when none of them have been to disneyland before. I was going to control the tickets on my account to make using Genie+ reservations easier. I will have everyone get their own account so they can use their mobile food ordering option.

You can have everyone on your account still.

For a simplier explanation, I have 2 adult daughters. We each have our own accounts. We each had our own credit cards on our accounts so we can all mobile order. And we each have all the others tickets on our accounts. That way any of us can scan the others in, we can all see what the plans are (Genie+ bookings), and we can each order food on our own CC.

Reality for us, we actually have 10 annual passes from our groups that go together, and it doesn't get confusing....

Maybe its the early morning, but I am having a hard time wrapping my head around the process. Can you point me in the right direction or tell me step-by-step how do I get each person to get their own accounts, but still see everyones tickets but have their own CC linked to their account only? I think I am overcomplicating this...

My daughter's pass is on my phone. My daughter made her account. She attached her credit card. She scanned her ticket (or typed in the number) either from a hard copy OR from my phone. The ticket is now on both accounts.

Create a new Disney account.
log in to that account on a second persons phone In the Disneyland app.
look for the option to see your tickets or passes.
there Should be an option to add a ticket.
scan or type in the ticket number.

now that ticket exists in both the original persons account, and the new account. You can scan or type in as many of the tickets as you wish into the new account.

you can also repeat all the steps above for a third, fourth, etc. accounts.

I did that on my last vacation in our group of eight, it worked fine.
