Large group at WDW

What's the largest number of people you ever went to WDW with? For me it was 9. My Parents, my sister and her 2 kids, and me and my 3 kids. Wasn't really a big deal. But now a cousin and his 2 kids, and my brother and SIL want us all to do it together after Christmas, probably the beginning of January. Will this be too many to try to do WDW together?

In June of 2003, we had a group of 12. It was three families; two families with five in each and the third family with an aunt and her neice. We stayed two solid weeks together and had a great time! We did almost everything together and it was a marvelous time. We plan on going again in 2007.

This November, we are doing a group of 15 over Thanksgiving week. Our family of five, BIL and his family of 6, MIL, SIL, and two close family friends. Four of the group have never been to WDW and two of them are blind. It will be a great time! We do plan on a few days splitting up and going to different parks and also letting the teenagers have some freedom by going on their own!

Our first time there was in a group of nine including two small children and three people in their 70's. We had a good time, but when just the two of us go we find it's a lot easier getting around and getting seated for meals. You just have to go with the flow. Any way you can do WDW is a good way.

This Thanksgiving I have arranged a group of 25. I have some friends that have never been to Disney and I don't want them to be scared. I planned events for us to meet every other day. Our 1st night we will have a big welcome dinner at Chef Mickeys. After that we are all doing Mickeys Christmas party and then reserved seating for Fantasmic. I planned some seperate stuff for my immediate 5. I didn't want to overbook our vacation, but I think it would be impossible to go from ride to ride with 25 people. I am really excited to share this magic with all my friends and family now I hope they still don't think I'm nuts when we get back.

We were there in August with a group of 16. We all had a great time, but split up when touring the parks. Our group was too large to keep everyone together. We met up for ps's once a day, except for our MGM day when we had 2. We had a "Magical Gatherings Fireworks Voyage" on our arrival night, which I highly reccommend! The view is awesome, our "pirate" captain was wonderful, and everyone really enjoyed it. Our ages ranged from 4 to 68.

In October 2002, we had 19. It was the first time my sister and brothers travelled together since we were little kids. I arranged for 2 adjointing 2-bedrooms at OKW. There were 10 adults and 9 kids. Me, my DH and our 3 DKs; my father and step-mother, my DS, DBIL and DNiece; my DB, DSIL and 2 DNephews, my DB, DSIL and their triplets.

This was really the trip of a lifetime. Without the DVC we could have never pulled this off - we would have never been able to agree to the same place, same time. We did alot of things together but we also did things apart. My DSIL was very strict with the triplets schedule and would leave the group for naps and meals.

I wouldn't want to do this every time we went to WDW but I hope to do it again when the kids are a little older.

BTW, the pix below is the kids dressed for the MNSSHP waiting for the bus at OKW. We love this pix since it's 9 of my father's 13 grandkids (now 14) grandkids.

I've only gone with my immediate family. There was 5 of us but next year I am planning a trip with 140 band students and parents!!!

one trip included myself, DH, 2DSs, 2DDs, my parents, my XMIL, my XSIL, and her three kids. Yes, they were ex-in laws at the time of the trip!

another trip included myself, DH, 2DSs, 2DDs, my parents, my XSIL and her three kids, and my sister, her DH, and 3 kids.

another trip included myself, DH, 2DSs, 2DDs, son's girfriend, daughter's best friend, DH's two kids from his first marriage, my parents, my sister, her husband, their 3 kids, her husbands parents, and her husband's sister and her family.

We have had a LOT of fun with these extended family vacations and we made some wonderful memories. My parents and XMIL have since passed away, but the memories live on.

First trip was our 5 and both sets of GP's. FIL has passed away since then. It was very stressful, FIL didn't feel well -- didn't really want to be there and both IL's complained a lot. Since then my parents have gone with us several times. They always vacation with us and go with the flow. We may be taking a long weekend trip and DH invited MIL along. I think she will be fine this time, she better be........ It's been 6 years since our last trip to WDW together, I think she is very excited to be going again and will not complain or give me a hard time.

There were 23 in our group last NYE. We stayed at the ASMusic in 4 rooms and then the rest of the family stayed off sited at a time share. 4 3 4 4 and the other 6 were offsite. We were there nearly a week. Had a blast.

12 --when i was younger my grandmother would take all the family for trips every year,even christmas sometimes.We would rent two vans and drive down.
