not sure who to ask.
My Dell laptop is about to go down. I use chrome .
What can I get that will work with Disboards, DVC and Disney without a problem?
What does everyone use now?

I usually use either my phone or my desktop thats a MAC, but I’ve never had a problem using any of the websites on my dell laptop. I don’t have any experience with a chromebook because no one in my family has one. Good luck!

You can use those websites on just about any device that has a reasonably up-to-date browser. Laptop or Chromebook, PC, Mac, Linux, iPhone, Android phone, iPad, Kindle Fire, etc.

The determining factor for you in choosing between a laptop and a Chromebook is what else you want to use it for. This article has a pretty good overview of the differences.

I have just bought a Surface Go. It's as the size and weight of a tablet but it has windows 10 so the full laptop experience. I think it's a good compromise if you don't need a powerful machine.

I'm answering this from a chromebook. There are only a few things i miss from having a real laptop. One is I thing just my chromebook which is no right click unless I'm using a mouse. Other was I wanted to do a mail merge which would have been a breeze on a computer but can't do in office online or google docs (might be able to with add ons but i didn't feel like figuring it out)

It comes right on. very easy to switch between users.

like PP said , you can use websites on any device as long as you have internet access and use a browser.

When choosing a new device the more important factors to figure out are

1. Do you want to use a keypad, touch screen or mouse
2. Do you need a large memory storage for files, music or images
3. Which operating system do you prefer - Microsoft / Windows or Apple / Mac
4. How portable do you want to be - size and weight of device
5. Budget - how much do you want to spend

You can right click with a chromebook by tapping the touchpad with two fingers

If you mainly want it to use the internet then a chromebook is ideal, it’s what it’s designed for and no point paying more for a laptop. If you need to do documents, spreadsheets, etc then you can use Google Docs, Sheets, etc.

Thank you! I had google at one point but could not figure it out. I mostly use a mouse but for when I don't, that is great to know.

thanks everyone for all this info. I just saw an ACER spin 1 -- 2in 1 laptop
intel pentiun 4GB DRAM, 64 GB eMMC, 11.6" full HD TOUCH and I know nothing

I love my chromebook, been using it for 5 years now! Same one, $150 bucks. Can't beat it. I do not miss windows updates, virus protection, any of that stuff! This is great so easy peasy!!

Love my HP Chromebook. I don't need it to do anything more the type letters, surf the internet, and send email. Great color too.

I use Mac desktop for work but love my iPad for everything once I leave the office. Bought the first generation iPad when it was introduced and upgraded a couple times over the years to newer generation iPads
