Laptop in Carry-on & Early Arrival at Resort...

Hi All!

Looking for a bit of advice... I'm a computer junkie (and tell me, who on these boards isn't?) and it never occurred to me to not bring my laptop along to Disney. But then I got to thinking... I wouldn't ever check my laptop, so it's comin' along with me in my carry-on (along with the "just-in-case-first-24 hr-necessities"). My carry-on will be a bigger bag than I'm going to want to carry around to the parks and we'll be arriving early our first day - at the resort by 12:30pm, I think. My plan was to check in at the BWV and then hit the parks right away since the room likely won't be ready for a while. But... what to do with my too-big-to-carry-around-the-parks carry-on? I mean, can I leave it with Bell Services (or whatever)? And should I leave it if I've got my laptop in it?

Thanks in Advance!!

Leave everything with Bell Services and head to the parks. It is safe, secure and ready for you when you get "home."

There's no better place for it.

Leave it with bellservices and don't worry. I have left ours there several times without any problems.

 Awesome - thanks so much for the quick responses! I feel much better about bringing my laptop now. :)

Great question. Thanks. This is good to know.

If you don't feel comfortable with bell services then ask the front desk to use their safe. At the BC they have a room where the guest safes are located.

It depends on the size of your laptop if this is an option though. I have a 14.1" widescreen and it fit perfectly into the largest size. A standard screen would not have fit and one that is larger also would likely not have fit.

Let bell services know that the bag needs to be in secure storage at all times. Sometimes if there is a large group checking in or out they will temporarily store bags on luggage carts outside the secure bag room; you don't want yours stored that way for even 5 minutes.

All resorts have a locked "Cage" that they lock valuable bags (such as laptops) in. Just make sure that you let the bellperson know that it is a laptop, and that you'd like it secured, and they will take care of you.

:thanks:Thanks again everyone!! I knew there had to be a way, I figured this happens all the time.

Now, to convince the boyfriend that his laptop stays at home but mine comes along... I don't want to risk losing him to World of Warcraft while we're at Disney World!! :badpc:
