Lanyards at Office Max - now I have a Question.

I was at Office Max this afternoon and they sell a pack of 12 ID holders and a pack of 10 Lanyards (why do they always do that and not sell the same amount of both)!!! :confused3  :rolleyes1

Anyways, they have ID holders that are portrait and landscape. Does that make sense? I was wondering what to buy? Do the KTTW cards have a picture on them and does the writing on the card so that it is facing in a "portrait" type or a "landscape"? Does anyone have their KTTW scanned so that I could see one? Just curious. :confused3

This post probably makes no sense!

I am assumming that when you all buy Lanyards that you also buy the ID holder pouch. Correct? :confused3

Thanks! :earboy2:

The cards are in landscape, although the writing is not something that needs to be read while wearing it. So, in regards to landscape or portrait, it is what ever you feel more comfortable wearing (and could get potential future use from).

And I have some older lanyards where the ID holder was ripped. So in that case, having two extra would be a good thing.

Now if we could only get them to fix the Hot Dog and Hot Dog bun packaging...

The wording & picture of Tinkerbell is landscape format (side to side normaly). You could probably do fine with the up & down portrait though since there is no picture. However, I think that there is a clip on the end of the lanyard & you could punch a hole in the card & attach it that way if you wanted to. We haven't ever used the lanyards but I have read several people posting that they did that. Before you punch the hole, check with GS to find out which direction they put the cards in the ID machines. :)

The lanyard people are apparently in cahoots with the hot dog people. :earboy2:

OMG. That was so funny. :rotfl: The scene in Father of the Bride where Steve Martin is in the grocery store pulling out the extra 2 <a style='text-decoration: none; border-bottom: 3px double;' href="http://www.serverlogic3.com/lm/rtl3.asp?si=22&k=hot%20dog" onmouseover="window.status='hot dog'; return true;" onmouseout="window.status=''; return true;">hot dog</a> buns from the package and leaving them behind went through my mind when I read that. LOL! :rotfl2:

Now, another quesiton...

I am guessing that people do buy the plastic holders and that is what they are decorating when they talk about putting the Mickey head paint chips on them and so forth. At least I think some people do that because if you just punch a hole in the KTTW card, doesn't it negate your charging priveleges? :confused3

If anyone has decorated the plastic holder, do the Mickey paint chips hold well with glue? :confused3

Also, the lanyards at Office Max where just a thin string (like a shoelace). I was hoping to get something wider so that if any of the kids want to buy pins and attach them they could. I have looked at the Walmart near me but I cannot seem to find them. If I ask the jewelry clerk where the Lanyards are, will she know what I mean? :scratchin

Thanks!

The lanyards for pins are only 4-5 each & will last longer with the pins. They are thicker than the regular ones for the IDs. I would wait & get them on the ship or at WDW if you are going there first.

They have wide lanyards at dollar general for $1

Someone made a good point....do NOT punch a hole in your KTTW card...it will negate your privileges....I kept my KTTW card and Drivers License insode the plastic holder and pulled them out whenever i needed tham. This way they stayed nice and dry in the ocean (i tucked the plastic part holding my cards of my lanyard in my swimsuit top)....

The ship sales some real nice lanyards onboard...that's made for pin trading...Myself I like the thinner ones...they just seem more comfortable to wear.

Oh...by the way I think I have a photo of a KTTW card in the album below (in my signature area). ...Oh I just looked..and didn't see it in there...I guess I haven't scanned that one yet.
