Would it be a good idea to get a lanyard with a plastic pouch attached for my ticket? I'm thinking it could be a pain to dig out my ticket every time I want a Fastpass. Or is it not really needed?

I'm personally not a huge fan of the lanyards (I manage to get them caught on things), but I see plenty of people wearing them. I have my ticket in my wallet and it doesn't seem like it's all that much work to pull it out whenever I need it.

We like the lanyard because we just pass it around to whomever the next FP runner is going to be (we share the labor). However, those plastic pouches are useless and fall apart in no time. Get something more permanent.

We use lanyards with those detachable bottom halfs. Because we can snap off the bottom and hand it whoever is running for fast passes. Clear plastic is best if you also have a DAS because you can put two tickets face to face so that your bar code is sticking out and then not have to remove the tickets for scanning.

I think it's a good idea. But I'd recommend against getting the plastic pouch attachment that you can buy in DL, DCA, & DTD because they fall off quite easily. We bought one on one trip and it fell off and it had all of our tickets in it. Luckily, I realized it before the plastic pouch walked away.

Also not a fan of lanyards. I never feel put out by having to get my ticket out of my wallet for the few times its needed.

I've never liked lanyards and I'm the manager for tickets and FP so I always wear a cargo pant or short. It's not my everyday type of clothing but I've gotten lots of use out of what I bought to use in the parks over the last 5 years. If you like the cargo pant/short idea, try to find ones with some type of closure to the pockets. It's not about fashion or some tiny pocket that isn't useful.

As an aside, I noticed on our last visit that when entering DLR and they are doing "random" screening through the metal detectors, I always got picked and I blame it on my bulging cargo pockets that didn't get check at bag check :)

I have a really small cross body bag that I prefer to use for phone, ticket and FP. I like it being across my body instead of around my neck. Stuff hanging around my neck drives me crazy, especially if it's a hot day.

Editing to add...I keep the tickets in a zippered pocket on the outside of the bag, not in a wallet.

I also keep my tickets and FPs in the front pocket of my crossbody bag. After all the rain we've had recently, I've learned to keep them in a snack size zipper bag before storing them in the front pocket. Just some added protection from weather and water rides.
