Just got back from my local Sears - picked up a pair of flurry boots for ds (6mos) for next year ($6) and for dd8 for probably 2 years from now ($9)

70% off the REDUCED PRICE! Whoo hoo!

They also had some womens shoes at 70% off, ended up under $10 per pair.

Winter coats were at 40% off reduced price, ran $30 - $40 so I'll wait another week or two on those.

No! I probably won't get anywhere until Tuesday with this snow!

Thank you for posting this... I just went and bought 4 pair of boots, 3 for $6.00, 1 for $9.00 and cute zipper shoes for $7.00. Also got a lot of great deals in the girls dept. I have so much stuff I couldnt carry it anymore and had to stop lol. I have to go back up there tonight.

We went yesterday and got DH a pair of Sneakers - he loves them.

A few weeks ago their pants were 50% off - got dh 3 pairs. He really wanted more but they're back up to full price - ugh.

Question how often (and when) does Lands End clearance at sears?

I don't know about spring and fall, but I'm pretty sure they do a summer clearance as well - I just usually end up missing it :(

I manage to hit the winter clearance, though - maybe because we walk the mall regularly, since it's the only place to get exercise in the winter :)

Teehee, this is MY department...I work for Lands' End at a Sears store. ;)

Right now, just FYI, Women's clearance is an additional 50% off the clearance price, and kids, accessories like gloves, scarves, etc, and men's clearance are additional 40%, and clearance shoes are 70%. Of course, we already knew about the shoes though. :thumbsup2

As for the clearance, it doesn't happen often. Usually only twice a year...right now we're in the Winter's End clearance. Then there'll be a Summer's End clearance about June-July, depending when they decide to do it. The formula's the same for both events. First it'll be just a clearance price, then they'll start taking more and more off as they wanna get rid of it. When it's at its lowest, a $19.50 shirt can end up being like $4!

HOWEVER, even though the clearance only happens 2x a year, Lands' End's been getting sale-happy with their stuff, which is new for them. If you've shopped with them for a while, you'll know that they used to NEVER be on sale...EVER! They also have coupons in stores that they can give you that help.

Sorry for the abundance of information. I just got excited when I saw a thread about Lands' End on here. It's the last place I'd expect to see it! :lmao: I've worked with them for just about 2 years, and I've learned a lot from working there.

Oh, and if no one knows, Lands' End is guaranteed for life. I've seen someone recently bring back a coat from 2005, and they were able to return it...sure, it was a bit of work with calling LE themselves, but they were able to do it. It amazes me...and they returned it because they didn't like the color. :rotfl2: Took them long enough to figure that out!

Okay, I'm done...I'll leave now....:rolleyes1

I am confuse. is the sale at all Sears or Land end?

I was at sears last friday to pick up my daughter's studio portraits and found toys include Diego, Trio construction sets and vsmile cartiledge at 75% off. Needless to say, I bought a lot of toys. I only wish I have time to check on shoes/boots. It was snow at Chicago that night.

The sale that I was referring to is in the Lands' End store INSIDE Sears (like part of Sears, but not Sears' regular children's department)

I miss my sears with a lands end department. *cry*

I got $70 coats for $15 for the kids, gloves for $3, boots for $5 wahhhhh.

The kids are still wearing stuff from that sale 2 years later :). Just wish I lived close to one again. The one near my mil only sells a limited selection so I can't even get a good fix when I visit her.

The sale online is going on but it's not nearly as good. I paid $31 for an $80 coat for dd for next winter, her current one isn't going to make it one more year. Great deal yes but not as great of course!

Thanks for the heads up on this!

We're dealing with 2ft of snow and another 6-10" coming tonight.

Found out on Sunday that DD's boots don't cut it. Went today and got a pair for $6! Can't beat that!

I got a pair of the men's trekker shoes for myself for $10.50!

yup, kids coats are still on sale...should be an additional 40% off the reduced price in store.

and speaking about Lands' End, I did an online return today for a customer....took over an HOUR to do, and it must've been over $5K worth of merchandise! :scared1:

No kidding, and she said there was another load of stuff she wanted to bring back, but she didn't have room in the car to bring it all! :lmao:

Looks like we'll "need" to go to Sears tomorrow to look at kid's coats. I'd be kicking myself if I missed out on a good sale when I know she needs a new coat for next year!

Went to our area Sears today. No snow boots to be found. However, I need get nine pairs of shoes for various family members. $77 with tax. No bad.

Sales at Land's End will bring me out of lurkdom. I just got some terrific rainboots for DD for this year to put in her Easter basket: $5, and a bunch of polos. Too bad they don't do much baby clothing so I can outfit the new addition in spring clothes, not many hand-me-downs. Other than buying used, any suggestions on finding Gymboree clothes on sale?

Went to a different Sears yesterday to scope out coats for DD - didn't find anything "wow". But did get another pair of sneakers for dh (70% off) and 2 more pairs of pants (50% off). So a good trip. He loves the LE pants. I don't know why our closer Sears has those for full price and the other sears (yesterday) has them on sale but I'm not going to argue.

Stephydee - if you remember when they do the next clearance could you post on here and give us all the heads up? I'm not a big Sears shopper. And thanks for all the info!

Thanks for this great post. I got 3 pairs of boots for $22 with tax yesterday at our Sears/Lands End. I hope I got the right sizes to fit kiddos next winter!

haha well, when I find out, I certainly will! It will most likely be in June/July....I always find it funny that we start the Summer's End Sale right when summer starts... I mean, we already have bathing suits out and in full force! :scared1:

Ahh, gotta love retail...:goodvibes

and no probs! If I was in the same boat, I'd like to know all the insider info. LOL ;)

Just curious....I have a return to make from a LE purchase at Sears. I can't find the original receipt but have my CC statement showing a Sears purchase....Is this good enough as a receipt?
