Landry's Select Club Multipe Rewards

Does anyone know if they will get you use the birthday or joining rewards for items in their shop? I checked their web site and I'm a little confused, It states:

Rewards may also be used on retail purchases at participating Landry's outlets.

Then it says: Rewards may not be used to purchase gift cards or certificates, retail merchandise (excluding Bubba Gump Shrimp Co.), rides or games.

We have the $25 joining reward and will have the $25 birthday when we go to the Rainforest next month. If I can only use one for dining, I was thinking of using the other for something in the merch shop. Anyone have any experience with this?

You can use both for dining (at the same time if you wish).

That is good to know, I thought it was you could only use one at a time. Thanks!
But if we wanted to use it for merch, will they let you?
