Do you pay $25 every year?

I'm a little confused about the membership and I probably over complicated it in my head.
It's $25 but you get the $25 credit. You also receive a $25 birthday voucher as I understand,
but do you have to renew the membership every year? Or is it a one time fee?

One time fee. Welcome reward expires in a year. Birthday reward is given on the first day of your birthday month and expires 45 days later... (or the 15th of the month after, I can't remember)

Landrys website has a faq that is very helpful

It's worth it - one time fee. Just used my birthday reward this weekend at Bubba Gump's :)

Totally worth it. Just the priority seating makes it worth it. That came in handy last summer in LA. There was a 1-2 hour wait for both Bubba Gump and Rainforest and we got seated for both in 5 minutes with priority seating

Many people set their "birthday" month using another date, like anniversary, or even just the time you would usually travel to somewhere and use the card. The rewards are automatically added on the first of your birthday month and expire after the 15th of the next month. No one checks ID as the rewards automatically come off when the card is swiped. The initial $25 and $25 birthday credit can be used in the same visit. You can also buy discounted McCormick and Schmick's gift cards at Costco ($79.99 for $100) and they can be used at all Landry's locations and in conjunction with your Select Club card.

You can't use the birthday credit on the visit where you sign up for the card, in my experience.

You're correct, you can't use any of the bonuses during the visit where you sign up which is why you should sign up prior to your visit to a Landry's location.

They can be used at Yak & Yeti sit down but NOT the quick service location.

I know the birthday reward expires the 15th of the following month after your birthday, but when does the Welcome Reward expire? Is it good for awhile or only a month or so? Thanks :).

I just checked the website and it looks like they are good for one year like the rewards you can earn. The only difference is earned rewards can be deferred but these cannot and are automatically applied to your "next" or first purchase after you join the club (if you join at a location it's off your next purchase but you can earn points for your meal that day if you sign up online it comes off your first purchase) I hope that helps!

I just purchased a $150.00 Landry's voucher for $122.00 from raise.com. It was 18% off. They are out of stock now.

We will be going to Rainforest Cafe and Bubba Gumps so combined with the welcome reward and birthday reward we are all set :).

If you use a gift card, you will not receive Landry's points on your Landrys card for your meal, at least for the amount of the gift card. I don't think that's right but that's the way it is. Just having the priority seating and birthday gift alone makes it worthwhile.

I joined last year and set my birthday as November since we generally travel to WDW in November. We used our welcome rewards and the birthday at Rainforest Cafe last year. This year I am planning to buy a discounted Landry's gift card to combine with the birthday rewards and eat at T-Rex this November.

When I used the sign-up bonus and the birthday bonus at the same meal, we ordered almost exactly $50 worth of food as I recall. The server made a big deal of making sure that I would have the Landry's card out on the table so he would not forget to submit it at the proper time. The manager came to the table and made a big deal of explaining how the rewards program worked, that I had paid $25 up front which I would be getting back in rewards, and that the tip was not included and would be extra. I didn't care for all that.
