At VB this weekend. Fabulous weather and not too crowded. Still trying to get comfortable with the beach renovations. What I suspect is the final grade is higher than I remember it from last year -- now the upper dune portion of the beach is a slight incline off of the ramp before the old turn that is now buried. They have planted grasses to establish the protected dune area.
And they have finally broken ground on the site Disney sold in 2006. Still early stage. I was curious because it seemed inconsistent with the condo project the buyer in 2006 proposed. Found this article which brings the story up to date. I was shocked at how much the land had gone down in value with the recession. The new project will be quite nice and a much better neighbor.
