Great Job!
Big Fun!
Thanks!

Yay! The End!

But, I'm very sad to have no more of your TR!

You're doing one for your September trip, right?!

Oh I am so sad that it is over :( I feel like it is the end of my vacation as well :( I can't wait for the Sept 2008 trip report...:rotfl:

*Sigh* - all things must come to an end eventually, right? :rotfl2: And, yes, a September 2008 TR will definitely be forthcoming.

:sad1: me too! But, I will definitely do a September TR, so stay tuned.

Crystal,

You are "da bomb" girlfriend! I've enjoyed your trip report so much. You've given me some great ideas for our upcoming trip in 2 1/2 weeks. In addition to buying a princess dress like the Bigs, scheduling a princess makeover, purchasing pirate outfits for all of us, I've also scheduled a "surprise" couples retreat at the spa. I'm not telling DH until we get there, wish me luck on that one.

It's been great reading your trip report. I look forward to hearing more from you on the DIS boards as you are kinda a rock star here with over 15,000 views on your TR :worship:

Pam

Well, thank you Pammy Girl! I'm so excited for you that your trip is coming up in 2 weeks. :yay: Enjoy it and if you do decide to do a TR, I'll be right there with ya!

Since I got married at 18, there were many nay-sayers in my family who thought that we’d never see 6 months, let alone 10 years.
:

i too was 18, it was his family who said we would never make it, his mom actually said 6 months or less. this year were going on the wonder to celebrate 25 years. a really great song for those of us who have beat the odds of the nay sayers is jason micheal carroll- livin our love song.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6Ec9ahvOrt4.

ok enough of that, GREAT TR. i loved the pic of the big looking off the side of the boat.

I normally do not read trip reports due to their length. My eyes glaze over and I lose interest. Since I've been considering a Land and Sea trip for 2009, yours caught my eye. So, I gave it a try. I must say it was wonderfully written. I read every word and my eyes didn't glaze a bit :goodvibes .

Thanks for taking the time to share your experience with the rest of us. Your little "Big" is such a cutie and you take the most beautiful pictures of her. Your report was very informative as well as entertaining, I will take a lot of advice from it.

Have fun on your upcoming trip and please post another trip report when you return. I look forward to reading it :thumbsup2

P.S. I also married young, age 20. I know there were bets being placed at our wedding about how long we'd last, and I'm sure a few prayers came from a certain MIL who never wanted it to happen in the first place, ha ha. 13 years and three amazing kids later we are still going strong! (and my MIL now loves and respects me.) We sure showed them! Happy Anniversary and best wishes for many more to come :0)

Wonderful trip report, beautiful pics including Big.
Can't wait to read September's version :thumbsup2

I am a newbie to the disboards. Loved your report. What else besides soda
was offered for free? My son does not drink soda nor do I. Did they have
seltzer water? Was there a seafood buffet with sushi during your cruise?
Can't wait for your next report. Hoping to cruise with the mouse next year.
thanks again.

Totaly addicted to your TR now...thanks!
Question follows:confused:

We've got a very similar land sea booked as well with Dreams Unlimited
and wanted to ask about this midnight Palo booking - they're up at midnight to take bookings? Special number to call?

You can make the reservation online! 75 days from the start of your vaction :)
Heehee, at least I am going to

I love this report. I found it AFTER making a ressie for a 4 day park/3 day sea trip. But since we know our way around the Disney parks, it can't be that much different on the water.

The Big is absolutely adorable, I guess she knows that too ;)
ROFL at the Monorail to GF story. Can you imagine how smashingly simple transportation is going to be on your next trip?

Ummmm so, I am only on page 4, I am suppose to work - what's a person to do? I guess I'll read more tonight.
I am very much enjoying your detailed report.

great tr! I loved every page! your dd is just adorable!!! thanks for taking the time to write it and include pics. :)

Oh, I just love, love, love that Jason Michael Carroll's song. I always find myself turning up the radio and rocking out to it. You are right that it rings very true to those of us who have beat the odds. Congratulations to your 25 years - that really is an incredible accomplishment. :goodvibes

Thank you so very much for the wonderful compliments, Family Fun Mom! Reading your comments make me so glad that I took the time to write my TR.

Thank you for reading, Disney Dutchie!! Besides soda, I believe that lemonade, coffee, and milk were offered for free. Also, I'm not sure about any seafood buffet - that would have made me run the other way, to be truthful, so it wasn't even on my radar. :rotfl:

LOLOLOLOL - *work* - what's that?!? ;)

I think that you'll have a great time with 4 days at the parks, especially since you already know your way around. As to making your cruse plans, if you are a first-time cruiser, at 75 days your window opens. And, yes, I am uber-hopeful that our transportation issues are must better this time around.

great tr! I loved every page! your dd is just adorable!!! thanks for taking the time to write it and include pics. :)

Thank you so much, bellebud, for reading! It was so much fun to re-live our trip through my TR. :goodvibes

Hey Crystal,

Still with you here enjoying your report. You listing out your expenditures made me think of a question for you. Can't remember if you addressed this already, but did you buy a meal plan for your land portion? Kinda sounds like you did but I was just wondering. I just booked the meal plan for our land portion. For our family of 5 it was $408 for the three days. I hope it was the right move but I won't know until we actually see how we utilize it.

You are such an expert I just want your opinion:worship:

Pam

The plan is wonderful.
I tried to add the deluxe ddp to our land/sea trip and was told that Disney would not let me do it. I would have to "make due" with the regular plan. Makes absolutely no sense to me. :confused3

I sent an email to Anita Answer :surfweb: Maybe she can come up with a plausible explanation

I can't believe that Disney won't let you add the Deluxe DDP to your Land/Sea!! How bizarre! That was a great idea to email Anita Answer, though - since I read the entire Allears newsletter every week, hopefully AA will respond.

What a great report!!

My family has been booked for a Poly Free Dining stay in September, since LAST September when we were in the World.

Just this week, my DH decided we should try the cruise. So I'm devouring info over here like crazy.

First, your report was great! But the pictures! WOW! I purchased a "fancy" camera a little over a year ago, and I enjoy photography myself. Your pictures are outstanding. I will have to pick up the book about exposure that you mentioned.

Second - how early is early for the cruise deck parties? We'd like to be up close and personal like y'all were.

Third - Your daughter is BEAUTIFUL! The pictures were gorgeous and I love her nickname. The Big. Too cute.

Thank you so much for sharing your tale...I've enjoyed every word and picture and I'm looking forward to hearing about your September visit!

NicoleMarie, thank you so much for reading and for your compliments about my DD and my photographs  ! Maybe we'll see ya at the Poly in September (we'll be there September 9-17).

I know that you all are going to enjoy your cruise so much! I swear, DH would cruise every single vacation if given the option (we compromised by doing the parks this year, and cruising the next, and that "plan" will probably continue that way for a while). As to how early to get to the deck parties, I want to say that we typically started meandering our way to Deck 9 about 20 minutes before the shows were to start (although I seemed to always get sidetracked at the "adult beverage" stand on the way - LOL). However, there was always entertainment even arriving that early. Typically, the cruise staff starts cranking the music and dancing and getting the crowd in it, so it wasn't like we were waiting with nothing going on. Anyway, here's hoping that September finds us with great weather, no love bugs, and wonderful food! :yay:
